One of my jobs in the past was as a calibration technician and part of that job was calibrating scales. This is an amazingly accurate scale for home use and an eye pleasing and high quality item.The first thing I did after activating it was pull out my  Taylor Precision Products Glass Electronic Scale  scale for comparison and this ASAKUKI scale was as good or better in every test and was much better in linearity when weight is added (means I weighed myself then added 15-30 lb weights and check the results) the ASAKUKI was better with both added weight sets. This means that if you are on a diet and losing weight (or hopefully not gaining) you will get more accurate results to see that 1-2 lbs difference in .1lb increments (most scales are not this accurate and measure in .2lb increments),My only minor negative is that with pretty much every digital device that comes with no-name batteries included, I would change these out for some high quality Duracell or similar within the first 2-3 months because leaking cheaper batteries can ruin any digital device including this one.Bottom Line: Exceptional bargain for an accurate instrument, I have the white one which looks perfect in the bathroom and with non-skid feet is never a danger. All of the display is invisible until you step on it and it highly visible (so you can see it even early in the morning before your coffee) so 5 Stars it is and highly recommended.

I was so sick of my old scale trying to give me two readings in a row that were within one or two pounds of each other. This new Asakuki scale is just fantastically accurate and repeatable to ONE TENTH of a pound!It was designed and engineered in Japan (the current Mecca of precision) and manufactured to spec in China. So, you get the best of both worlds - best performance at the lowest cost. Don't waste your time and money on other designer scales....THIS is the one you want.I'm kind of an accuracy freak (30 years in automotive Quality Assurrance) and I just love this scale. Weigh yourself, make a pit stop, weigh yourself again. It actually revises your weight precisely. Amazing.You have to do your part to get top results from this scale. Read the easy directions. Position it on a hard flat surface. No carpets or lumpy terracotta tile. (Think granite countertop type of hard and flat - or as close as you can get on the floor.) Mine works perfect on our hardwood floors - positioned in virtually the same spot every day. I'm 220 pounds and dieting. I really love this scale. Let's you know exactly how you are doing.

Choice of colors allows you to coordinate & blend with your decor & style. Weight lights up but not overly bright & the numbers stays long enough for you to write it down if you are keeping a record. Does not mark the floor .Easy to clean with damp cloth. Arrived promptly, very nicely packaged. A quality item.

Even after changing the batteries, it fluctuates 10-15 pounds when weighing! Not even close to helpful anymore.

Very, very lovely scale. My experience was too much variation in displayed weight by moving the scale a few inches on a non-cushion vinyl bathroom floor (several pounds) or by weighing multiple times over a 20 minute time frame (.4 - 2 lbs). My existing Taylor analogue takes some fiddling to properly zero out and to stand steady and correctly, but is then consistent. My situation means I will always have to move the scale, so I cannot leave it in one exact place. In summary, more hassle than the Taylor analogue.

I bought this because I wanted a sleek yet low cost weigh scale. Very happy so far - this scale has yet to disappoint me. It worked right out the box, is simple, clean in design and works great. The numbers are clear and everything works as it should. No problems so far - I think I’m going to buy another one for my other bathroom.

Arrived in great condition. It was insanely inaccurate at first but after a few uses it figured itself out. Just step on and wish you’d skipped the fries.

very pretty scale! Had the same problem as many have had, unstable weight readings and then it turns off. I was very frustrated and then figured out how to fix it. The problem is that the feet on the bottom become misaligned with the bottom of the case and then do not all reliably touch the floor. You can pry it open a little with a screwdriver, line them up and then it works!
