Great watch, right price
For my needs, this watch is nearly perfect. Many reviews mention the small size of the watch. My wrist is just under 3 inches wide. The fit is perfect. The dial is easy to read and uncluttered. It is an autowind watch which means no battery. I am tired of replacing dead batteries. The watch keeps accurate time, but must be worn frequently. A couple of days on the nightstand stopped the watch. That said, I don't move as much as most people, so only sedentary people need worry. The watch looks good with any attire. I wear a suit a couple of times a week, and the watch looks dressy enough for me. I've owned Seiko watches before and the both kept time for decades. I expect the same performance from this one.

Nice watch, awful watch band
I bought this watch because the combination of white dial and gold accents with the polished stainless steel case makes for a very nice look. The size of the watch case is also a plus. I have fairly slender wrists, so I'm quite happy that Seiko hasn't followed the unfortunate trend of making near wall clock-sized wristwatches in this line. The Seiko 5 movement - well, it's pretty much indestructible, and reasonably accurate, especially for the price point. I've found that the Seiko 5 movement is frequently more accurate than some of the more expensive ETA/Valjoux movements from Switzerland that are ubiquitous in the lower-tier Swiss watches. The one complaint I have about this watch is the band. The folded-link bands Seiko uses in this range are generally pretty cheap and junky, but this one is the worst ever. It is noisy, fragile, and the link pins are the most difficult to remove that I've ever encountered. After an evening of some very frustrating tinkering with the band, I ordered a third-party replacment. The watch itself is nice, so a better band will only improve it.If you're interested in this watch, I suggest you buy it with the plan to immediately replace the band. The lug size is 19mm according to my metric caliper, although I believe the description says 20mm.

Classic watch, just replace the band
I haven't worn a watch for over 20 years, and decided to buy myself one as a birthday present this year. After spending a good deal of time looking through reviews and watching videos about watches on YouTube, I decided that a Seiko 5 was the way to go. A solid, durable, high-performance watch. The general consensus is that the watch itself is great, but the included bracelet should be replaced with something better immediately.I reviewed dozens of styles and arrived at this one, as my preference is for a white dial with no numerals, and I loved the idea of the textured dial (although I was a little nervous it wouldn't look as good in person as it looks in the photo). I also found a watch strap maker in Milan, Italy that sells straps on eBay, and picked up one of their extra-long, leather straps. As another reviewer mentioned, the band width is given as 20mm, but I found it to be more like 19mm. If you are replacing the band with a solid metal band, you might be better off going 19mm. My leather band is 20mm, but compresses a bit to fit.I have very big wrists, so the included bracelet doesn't even fit on me. At first I was a bit worried that the watch itself was too small and would look awkward on my wrist, but it actually looks great, especially with the upgraded, leather strap, which includes stitching details that visually increase the appearance of the watch itself.I was also very pleased to learn that not only are the minute and hour hands luminous, but the hour markers also have small luminous dots at the outside ends. The luminous material here requires "charging" with a light source. It does not appear to be self-illuminating.One thing to note, the seller sent me a version with English and Arabic, rather than the stated English and Spanish. It's not really an issue for me, but be aware that you might not get exactly what is described.

Smaller than it looks
This came used and could tell it was previously returned. I was willing to bite the bullet because of the great price but it was too small. I thought the face and bracelet would also be larger. Decided to return.
