Cute book
I bought this for my newest grandson and I can’t wait to read it to him. I’m a knitter so I’ll knit him a stuffie to go along with the book. He’s just turning 6 months old.

Perfect for Pre-Schoolers
This is an amazingly descriptive and eloquent story about a female weaver, who works on her farm and takes care of her sheep. The book begins from the end, when the sheep are ready for shearing. Then delves into how the sheep came to be, how they were born a year ago and grew throughout the year. Then the process is explained, how the wool comes off and is made into yarn. This particular story uses the yarn to make a picture, using the yarn that she dyes. To add to the appropriate vocabulary given to this process, the pictures in this story are watercolors, and are just wonderful to look at. Really a great way to introduce the idea of where wool yarn comes from. A variety of ages would love this book.

Cute book
This is a cute book about seeing past the raw materials to envision the possibilities for a finished work of art.

The illustrations in this book are beautiful, and the author takes the reader through all the processes necessary to make yarn and cloth. The book is a gift for my little granddaughter. It makes a good companion with a loom. I chose the loom made by Melissa and Doug. I think this is a good Christmas idea.
