Intellectually very stimulating . Impeccable Depth & clarity in the insights of Sartre. There are very few philosophers who can match his acumen. A must read for the one who love philosophy .

Cheap quality paper
Just a word on the publishing: wish the publishers had used better paper. The gray-colored cheap paper is not easy to read or make notes.

A must read!
Being and Nothingness' by Sartre is according to me, is an absolutely wonderful book on Philosophy one can not give a miss. The way Sartre introduced the book as "an essay in phenomenological ontology" absolutely leaves one wondering about the 'existentialism' he talks about. The good part is, one does not get bored at any point and forces us to keep reading despite the flaws in its translation. The immensely sensitive content does not, at any point, become distressing or offensive. Although I don't agree with his perspective that noumenon isn't there i.e. inaccessible because how do you explain the concept of things being the way they are? But it clearly improves from there when he starts talking about Being and Nothingness and the distinction between en-soi and pour-soi, i.e. being in itself (unconscious being) and being for itself (conscious being) is admirable. It's like Jean-Paul developed an ethical system which is subtly unique and the way it describes Bad Faith and The Other is simply commendable. 'The Bible of Existentialism' indeed proved to be some sort of a Bible because it does change the mindsets of all the people who read it and continues to do so. It challenges us to think about the ethical system we have developed and continue to follow. My favourite quote from the book is: "Life is a useless passion." A person like me, with not much experience, will not be able to do much justice to the content and its essence. Still I tried my best.

A must read to grip existentialism.
This book along with Being and Time by Martin Heidegger will lead you to envisage the concept and cloud amidst the paradigm of existentialism.
