Independently Published Autodesk Fusion 360 Surface Design and Sculpting w
Z**C
You'll learn the basics of Surface Design and T-Splines... but you're paying too much.
I wanted to give this 1 stars, however the publisher does provide downloadable versions of tutorials to help you troubleshoot where you have issues. HOWEVER, you have to wait 12+ hours for them to authenticate you through their website and you need to use a uni email. For $40 there should be a download code, or something more user friendly. But, I guess they want your info so you'll buy more of their overpriced books or learning courses. There are 6 short tutorials in here, I guess it teaches you the basics. However, I could not get the filet on the first tutorial model to go all the way around after joining cut surfaces Maybe a software version difference issue? I'm waiting to look at their reference model, but tips on troubleshooting your designs would make this book worth what they charge. I was able to finish the model, and the rest of them, it was just missing that one step. They do provide some additional reference images and measurements, but no tutorials for some similarly difficultly models to practice on. I get that they're an authorized developer for Autodesk, and I'm sure there are some licensing dues. But, this could be a $20 E-book and still be on the high end for what you get compared to Autodesk, they sell a $10 book that covers surface modeling, but no t-splines, and it still looks like a better deal. I was hoping this would be a more intermediate book, however it's for beginners, and spends the first chapter teaching you the basics of sketching. I hoped I would get something out of it that I haven't from Fusion 360's youtube channel, or a content creators at $40, but I sure didn't!If you have the money to burn, and like structured practice go for it. I did get a bit out of it, but not $40 worth lmao.
