I have been using this screen puck for several years now and have had absolutely no problems. They help by distributing the water more evenly and they keep the brew head clean. Buy one and you’ll be pleased!

I bought this mainly to keep my machine cleaner but I was surprised at how much better the espresso comes out. As an added bonus I normally wet pads are bone dry and hard now. The screen itself is also much heavier duty than I anticipated. I highly recommend it.

Why did it take me so long to give one of these things a try, it makes clean-up 1000 times easier! Buy one, they're not expensive and so worth it!!

I needed this to help with keeping my coffee machine clean. It does the job and fits my breville portafilter.

Works exactly the same as the 30 dollar mesh screens. I also felt no difference in build quality. Definitely a big recommend to improve channeling issues and a better clean up process.

The screen was a bit bigger than advertised, so it wouldn't fit in my portafilter (I mean, maybe a millimeter too big).The screen quality and price were great, though. I would say this is closer to 54-55 mm - I don't have calipers to double check that. Inlike adding the puck screen which also keeps barista express clean and it seems to help with espresso crema.

These screens are a great addition to the espresso making experience. Make sure to use the "coin test" before using the puck screen to prevent damaging them or your group shower screen. Usually you need 1 gram less of coffee and you are good but some type of coffee beans like to expand more than others so use a quarter coin to test that you have enough clearance.The puck screens do not replace making a proper puck with good distribution and tamping. However, it will ensure better water distribution (so potential less channeling) and it will keep your group shower screen very clean
