I received the ramp and was delighted I didn't have to put anything together. It came out of the box, I unfolded it from being folded in half lengthwise, then unfolded it once again for the width, and ta-da! the ramp was ready to go. My husband has not been able to put any weight on one foot for the past few months so he is using a transport chair when going back and forth to all his appointments. I almost rated it a 4 instead of a 5 due to the weight of the ramp itself, but it is 10' long and 33" wide and very sturdy. I'd rather have heavy then flimsy.

I ordered this ramp as we have a son who uses a wheelchair and we wanted an easier way for him to b able to board our boat….this was it! Perfect size, well made, and stays in place when put between dock and boat. Would highly recommend this product!

Just what I needed. Sturdy and worked great. I can fold it and put it away when not needed.

This saved us from building a semi permanent ramp on our house for our daughters wheel chair. Her chair is around 500 lbs and the ramp does a good job. We take it with us to use when we travel.

This ramp will work, but as others have already reviewed, it feels flimsy. It took two people to unbox, but I was able to set up, take down and move on my own. It is very heavy though and thankfully I only had a few feet to move it out of the way. I bought this to help get a wheelchair bound family member into my home for the holiday. It is rather big and I was hoping to send it with them for future use at other locations they may want to visit, but the term "portable" just means it is not attached to the location and is NOT meant for permanent use. It will not fit into the back of a car (especially if there is already a wheelchair, but it still is to long.)If you need a temporary ramp, then this product is good enough.

We bought this for our son-in-law who is fulltime in an electric wheelchair. Those wheelchairs are extra heavy so a sturdy ramp is necessary. You also do not want one that may "hold" but still bends or sways because for those using wheelchairs, there is a fear of a ramp breaking. This ramp works GREAT. However, it is very heavy. I think its the nature of wheelchair ramps once you get a certain length.My son-in-law has a metal pin that sticks out of the bottom of his wheelchair so when he gets in his van his wheelchair locks into place in the plate that was installed there. When using this ramp he has to get to the very edge of the left or right side of the ramp to make sure it doesn't get caught on the folding mechanism that is not flush on the ramp.
