From the award-winning writer of American Gods and Coraline , The Sandman is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed graphic novels of all time. Neil Gaimain's award-winning masterpiece set the standard for mature, lyrical fantasy in the modern comics era. Illustrated by an exemplary selection of the medium's most gifted artists, the series is a rich blend of modern and ancient mythology in which contemporary fiction, historical drama, and legend are seamlessly interwoven. In this second volume of the unforgettable epic—drawn by Kelley Jones, Mike Dringenberg, Shawn McManus, and Collen Doran, with guest art by P. Craig Russell, Bryan Talbot, Matt Wagner, and more—Morpheus of the Endless must journey into Hell to rectify a ten-thousand-year-old injustice. But that means traveling through the realm of Lucifer, who after their last encounter swore he would destroy the King of Dreams... Collects stories from The Sandman #21-37, The Sandman Special #1, and Vertigo: Winter's Edge #1-3, including the classic story arcs "Season of Mists" and "A Game of You," among others. Review: Speak for itself - Great Review: a Must Reead - I just finished The Sandman Vol. 2: The Dollhouse, and it’s an incredible continuation of Morpheus's journey. Neil Gaiman masterfully intertwines themes of identity and loss with a rich, haunting narrative. The art by Jill Thompson is stunning, perfectly complementing the eerie atmosphere. I loved how the story explores the consequences of dreams and reality. This volume kept me on the edge of my seat. Highly recommend it to any fan of dark fantasy!

Required reading post book 1
If you made it to the end of book one and didn’t feel the need to continue reading…no you didn’t. Quite possibly the best graphic novel series on par with watchmen. Read it. Read it, it is as good as all that.

Lives up to the hype
All of my problems with volume 1 being a little corny at times evaporate in this volume. The art is a perfect compliment to the dreamlike plot. I truly did not believe that the series could live up to the hype that surrounds this one, but it absolutely does.

Better than the show by far
I'm rewatching Netflix sandman and it really isn't as good as this! The dialogue is mostly the same but visually every Netflix show looks like the same dim boring trash. The manga sandman is colorful as hell and WAY better visually, and the dialogue is more complete. Buy this!! It's all new material that wasn't on the show!

Always great storys
This edition includes two stories Season of the Mist and A Game of You, both are as unique as the previous ones, the best being Season of The Mist in my opinion as it is a story with unpredictable twists and turns that will influence the story in the future.

Great used condition
Came quickly and is exactly what I wanted. I just finished the first book in time and was able to pick right up where I'd left off. It's practically brand new. Definitely appreciate

Ruined by ugly promo label, but easily covered!
Beautiful, glossy books, a great read. Absolutely hate The Netflix promo label on all my favourite books, so I get stickers to cover them from Etsy.

Fantastic graphic novel (reviewing the original issues #1–75)
Neil Gaiman has done a fantastic job in world building that revolves around the central character, Dream (a.k.a. Morpheus), the lord of the dream world. He is one of seven supernatural siblings called the Endless, the others being Destiny, Death, Destruction, Desire, Despair, and Delirium. Various “tools of the trade” are employed to make the story interesting. Sometimes, seemingly minor remarks by a character will later take on greater significance. At other times, an apparently minor character is introduced briefly in one issue only to assume a far greater role in later issues. In this way, links are established across the entire story arc. In my opinion, “The Sandman” is certainly one of the better and more interesting graphic novels in recent times. We all know how hard it is to produce something truly creative and original at the same time. The entire series (Books 1–4) rightfully belongs in any Top Ten graphic novels list or ranking.
