Interactive Learning Fun
My preschooler loves this! The talking pen keeps them engaged and the content is great for early learning. Makes independent play feel like a game. Depending on age you might have to sit with them because they start just liking the voice but doesn't mean they are doing it correctly.

Wrong answers
The pen is not completely accurate and will tell you that its right even when you are wrong. The pad itself is thick and great quality and the idea overall is great.

Home schooling
I've been purchasing hot dots work books for my 4 year old granddaughter whom is currently being home schooled at age 4 years old she can write her name recognize letters,shapes and alot of other things I would definitely purchase hot dots to anyone who wants to home school their children, it's worth every cent! also she pernouces her abc's she capitalize her abc's she knows the difference in Lower case and when to use a capital letter!I will be purchasing a lot more of these workbooks.

Doesn't work after a while
Initially this product seemed to work okay. However, after a while the pen seemed to lose complete accuracy. After a fresh battery change and cleaning the pen tip, nothing has helped. The pen always registers every answer as incorrect even when the answer is obviously right. It is totally useless in helping my daughter to learn since it is inaccurate. I have reached out to the company for technical support but to no avail. I do not recommend this product at all.
