Taylor Wall Thermometer and Humidity Guide, Wireless Thermometer with Easy to Read Large Numbers for Patio, Pool, and Indoor Areas, 13.25-inch, Black

This review is for Taylor Extra Large Metal Wall Indoor Outdoor Thermometer, Easy to Read Numbers for Patio, Pool, and Indoor Areas, 18 inch, White. I bought it February 2025. I needed an outdoor thermometer at my remote cabin's front porch large enough to be able to read it with my front porch Ring doorbell camera when I am away. And one that does not need batteries as it gets cold there. The distance between camera and thermometer is probably five feet. Previously, I bought a 12-in diameter thermometer but the numbers were not that clear on-camera especially at night with just the porch light on, and, although I could figure the numbers out, the thermometer needle itself was too skinny at the business end to see where it was actually pointing. (Maybe the newest generation ring doorbell camera has sharper resolution, dunno.) This 18-inch diameter outdoor thermometer, however, did the trick. Not only are the numbers unmistakable huge but its red needle is wide enough at the business end that I can always see where its pointing when looking at it via my Ring doorbell camera. As far as accuracy goes, I placed it on my cabin's front porch just above a small traditional mercury thermometer that was already there, in order to compare the two readings. I waited a few hours to let this new thermometer acclimate and the two thermometers are reading identically and still do over a course of several days. This means I won't need to return it! I'm glad it's accurate because this 18-inch thermometer has no way to calibrate it; it's a very simple flat-spring coil on the back, as you can expect. I'm surprised this thermometer has to cost a whopping 50 bucks when it looks and feels so lightweight and simple but whatcha gonna do? All in all, I spent the money, got what I wanted: A large round thermometer that is easy-to-read through my doorbell Ring camera. And is accurate. Hooray.

This Taylor Extra Large Metal Wall Indoor Outdoor Thermometer is beautiful! I like that it's 18 inches in diameter, which makes it easy to read from quite a distance. It is also easy to hang, I used zip ties to attach it to a railing on the patio and it is sturdy and oh-so useful. Great product.

Nice clock, hung it in the screen room and it has kept very accurate temperatures. Large numbers of so you do not have to squint when looking out the window to see it. Very nice price

Looks great on the garage wall. The humidity readings aren’t very accurate, but I bought it for the analog design, which fits perfectly in my classic-themed garage. I rely on smart sensors for accurate data anyway, so this works well as a stylish touch.

Doesn’t work. Terrible design. Temperature stuck at 40 degrees. Looks like the dial is hitting the outer cover. No way to open it up and adjust the dial.

Accurate, easy to read from a distance, not hard to mount, simple design. The sheer size of the 18" design caught me off guard. Even though the product description is very accurate, after receiving it, just holding this large thermometer made me worried it would not look right after being mounted in it's intended location. However, I believe the simple design allows it to fit in nicely. The large numbers and easy to see red arrow make it very easy to read even from the comfort of indoors. So far the accuracy is spot on even with the changing weather of 2 months from fall to winter.

Wow, so easy to read and I don't even need to go outside to see it, but I questioned the accuracy of it because it doesn't read the same temp as my weather app. HOWEVER, since my weather app says it's raining right now at my house and I'm looking at full sunshine out there, I'd say my weather app sucks. I bought this Taylor because I know the Taylor bath scales I've had in the past are extremely accurate, so I'm going to say that this temperature gauge IS accurate and I need to get a new weather app on my phone.

First one came with the hydrometer needle missing, but they quickly got me a replacement. Not the highest quality, but good value for the cheap cost. Nice and large so my old eyes can read it. Seems to work well and is accurate to my knowledge. I use it indoors so I am not sure how it will hold up to the elements.
