Bought this along with assorted tomato and hot pepper seeds primarily to teach my kids how seeds grow into food. You can't get to tomatoes in such a small pot, but it's a great way to get to seedlings which can be transitioned to a bigger pot.

I use different germinating methods, and wanted a compact tray with starter pods....Just didn't work for me...seemed too tight around seeds (which, honestly, may have been old)...I may try a similar product next spring for my victory garden

I'm a prolific gardener, and this has been great for getting my seeds going this year. I love the pots; they are tall enough that you can really get some roots going and then maybe just tear open the bottom to set the pot and all in the ground. I have this entire tray filled with seeds that are popping up, so I think it's working well so far!

For the price this is a good set and comes with decent sized starter peat pots and smaller peat squares, and well as tags and labels. The pan is on the smaller size and you can’t fit all pots into it in one go, but that’s not an issue for me. The greenhouse top fits well (it arrives snugly fitted under the pan, at first I thought that it was missing but it’s there!).This is a great starter kit for balcony gardens and small homes where there isn’t much extra counter space!
