Birch & Meadow 1 lb, MSG Powder, Monosodium Glutamate, Flavor Enhancer

Granted, I did purchase the Bigger (1 Gallon) product, and not this 1 pounder product - BUT, since this is made by the same company (Birch & Meadow) I felt that I could write about this one as well (as it is made of the SAME chemical [MSG] composition and process).If I was “smarter” 👨🏼‍🎓 then I WOULD HAVE initially purchased this [smaller] 1 pound item (1st) - but I instead purchased the larger [1Gallon] and ended up literally DUMPING this entire product down the Trash🗑 (so Readers - Please DON’T make the SAME mistake🙅‍♂️, that I did - Get and try the smaller quantity [1 pounder] and try it out, FIRST).I initially purchased this because I LOVE ❤️ 🥰 MSG, and thought it would be a Good Deal, because it was a LARGER quantity (Which is always cheaper in most cases).BUT, with any [Food] product, you HAVE to experience, like, and enjoy the “Taste” 👅(As this is, of course, different - depending upon everyones individual [personal] preference).So I don’t “fault” [too much] that this product did NOT fulfill my taste preference.BUT, there is NO DENYING that this product (Birch & Meadow) was downright NASTY 😵‍💫🤢🤮 [to me], as compared to my other commonly used product’s.Those product’s being either the standard [SuperMarket] Accent, or Aji No Moto Ajinomoto MSG (from Here, on Amazon).I initially purchased Aji No Moto a few years ago, and it has always been GREAT👍 for me (taste wise, etc.) - and a Much BETTER deal 👍🤑💵, than Accent!! (By Far!!)When I first purchased MSG (here, on Amazon) I found Aji No Moto - it being the “cheapest” at the time (3 years ago), with three pounds (packs) being around $15 bucks (now, around $19).When I saw this product (Birch & Meadows) recently, I jumped on it because I thought One Gallon (being HUGE) would be much more economical (which it is, compared to all).But “economics” is NOT the primary indicator or determining factor, for food products (I learned this, the HARD way😱).As stated, it is [mainly] TASTE!!!👅🥳🥰I verified this when I first got this product.I whipped out my favorite Ground Beef 🍔 and proceeded to sprinkle both the: 1) Aji No Moto, 2) This product [Birch & Meadows], and 3) Plain salt.…on to three different burgers (with no fixings - just plain beef).I then tasted both burgers for the [familair] “Umami” flavor (of/from MSG).I found that:1) Plain salt 🧂 was OK (but not 🙅‍♂️ in any way, Umami)2) My regular Aji No Moto was SUPER flavorful (and VERY good 👍 [Umami]).3) The Birch & Meadows just tasted WEIRD 🤪 (no where NEAR the umami of Aji No Moto 👎)In fact, I also noticed it did two [extra] weird things: 1) It smelled STRANGE (almost “fishy” 🐟), and 2) It gave me a Weird “Aftertaste,” later that night 🤢Again, Aji No Moto (or the regular store version of MSG [Accent]) NEVER gave me any of these reactions (or weird smell👃)I WISH that I could have returned this, but Amazon policy doesn’t allow you to return food products 😡🤬(so I’m out, $40 bucks 💸👎).So overall, here is the lesson I learned:NOT ALL MSG PRODUCTS ARE CREATED EQUAL=😱🤭Lastly, I would therefore recommend to all reading this, that you would most definitely [also] BUY both Aji No Moto & also the standard store “Accent” brand - and then COMPARE them, to see 👀 [for YOURSELF] which product has the VERY BEST flavor enhancing powers/abilities.From my experience Aji No Moto (and Accent) REIGNS 👑 SUPREME👍👍👍👏☝️BUT, Aji No Moto is MUCH MORE “AFFORDABLE”🤩✌️💰💰💰
