The story is very unique and while not super true to the original Japanese book, it's very well-written, and the drawing is simply awesome. I love it. I especially love the clash between Kojiro's and Musashi's personalities (when comparing them). each of them gives the story a little something. A simple story about Musashi's accomplishments wouldn't be enough. Kojiro is the proverbial cherry on top.

Usually vagabond books arrive damaged, paperbacks in general have been arriving pretty damaged but fortunately i was in luck

After searching for this volume I found that this seller had it in stock and not super expensive like other people had it. Now my collection is finally complete

So far I have been very pleased

The art. The ART! To be perfectly honest, the story runs a little flat a lot of the time. If you want to get the story, just read Eiji Yoshikawa's classic book, Musashi. But afterwards come and read these graphic novels because the art is incredible.

I love the whole series so far. I like different types of Manga and this series hits home really well, because I also teach Martial Arts for a living. I would wait and buy the VIZ BIG versions as opposed to buying the separate smaller volumes. Why? to save money. Otherwise all is good.

Vagabond is a MUST own series. Some of the best art and story telling ever in manga.
