Pros - easy to use, release is well placed, factory cord is strong with minimal stretch, compact design and durable handle/frame…. And the color matched my kayak 😀Cons - winding up the line with weight is difficult due to the small spool 💪 Often I just pull in the anchor by hand and then wind up the anchor line once the anchor is in the kayak.

This dive reel works very well. It is light weight and has 150 feet of line which is enough in most cases.

I was tired of messing with my old manual wrap "reel" and I liked the price of this one. I've used it half a dozen times and have not had any major issues. The ease of use more then makes up for the couple times the cord wrapped in one place for too long. It took me less the 30 seconds to unwind and re-do it.The ease of pressing a thumb release to let out more line is so ridiculous. So easy and mine feels very solidly built (for plastic) ((but for the price, what do you want?)). It make tending my dive flag so much less complicated, I can now concentrate on my camera and getting some pictures.I have added a lanyard which definitely helps. Simply let go of the reel, use my hand for what ever I need and grab the reel back.I swim in cold water so I do have 7mm gloves which makes it a little more difficult but nothing major. I simply use 3 fingers and wrap my pinkie around the lanyard.For a basic scuba diver looking for a better way to maintain their dive flag I would definitely suggest this reel.

Wrong color, non functional issue.Item was opened and resealed and taped over.Will try it out. Just a bit off in color description.Press down release thumb pushes down on forefinger blocking lever from releasing, you have to have a large hand and leave 3 fingers in the hole and pinky finger out so your thumb can press down and release string.Hope this helps.I'll add some d rings, and give it a try.Not sure how gloves are going to playing this.

Strong line. I use it for throw line to get on tree branches, easy to retrieve
