Overall Does Its Job
I purchased these primarily because i have neighbors who have fungus gnats that find their way into my apartment and i needed an option to keep the top soil dry so they wont find my plants appealing. I tried the glass bulbs and they did not work for me at all. These work well and only a small portion of the top of the soil gets wet - where the drip stake goes in.I set mine to 20 as the instructions say and overall this works well. Ill occasionally pull it back to 10 or turn it off for a day if it seems the soil is really wet, but this is only on my smallest plants.I don't find them all that hard to fill. Put the tube of the bag under a thin steady stream from the faucet and its fine. I used a mini funnel the first few times but this really isn't necessary. Just use a thin stream. As another reviewer notes, you do have to push air out a few times towards the end. As everyone else notes, the metal hanging stakes are too short and too weak to work alone, so Ive rigged each plant a different way depending on its circumstances. It took much more effort than is ideal, but once you find a solution its done.I did have one get some mold growth in the tube that leads to the drip stake. I had to find a tool thin enough to go down that tube (interestingly the hanging stake itself worked) to clear it out, but that worked. The only problem is that once you pull off the small tube from the control valve, it doesn't go back on all the securely. Its the only one this has happened to over two months of use, but this may present as an issue for others if the conditions are right for mold growth so Im not yet sure if this was a one-off.All-in-all from my experience the product functions as described. I find it a bit more work than Id like, so unless its solving a specific problem (forgetful watering, out-of-town for a week, fungus gnats :), traditional watering is probably still the best approach. Once I move or my neighbors move, I imagine Ill go back to a watering can. There are larger bags Ive purchased for larger plants that are a bit easier to work with and require less monitoring, but they are too big for smaller house plants, so thats why I went with these instead. Not perfect, but my plants seem to be happy with the arrangement and Ive not had any gnats take up residence in over a month now.

Easy use, but not secure
These water devices come in pieces, which also come apart easily. This is finicky and has ended up with water all over my counter multiple times. Just be careful and secure these parts; these self-watering devices will be worth it.

It works
A bit confusing to set up, and stay standing. Might be the loosened soil but it works! You can change the speed of the flow depending on how much the plant needs watered. Hilarious for those of us in healthcare

Read instructions before use. Easy to use an indoor and outdoor plants.
I got this because I was having a brain fart remembering to water my herbs on the front porch. Everybody has loved it and gotten giggles when I see it in my garden. There is even a local plant shop that may start carrying them because they thought it was absolutely adorable.

Works great, needs extra support.
So far has kept my plants watered and happy! As for the rod supplied for hanging the bag up it did not hold the weight of the bag up. I had to hang the bag from twine tied higher up in order to prevent the waterflow line from bending. It may work better with a deeper pit than I was using. Still worth the purchase!

No directions
No directions on how to fill so I had to come back to the listing to watch the video. Bag is also too heavy for provided hanger so it’s basically at dirt level cuz I had to shove it down so far so it could stay standing.Still cute, still usable.

Cute!
I love these but the hoses are leaking and making a mess on my floor. They’re cute but not very functional if the hoses aren’t tight enough. The drip system is a great idea and I loved the concept. Also, the metal sticks could be a tad bit taller, it would make the drip work better.

Love it
I am horrible at watering plants and I work the medical field so when I seen these I absolutely have to have them. I have used them for 3 weeks now and I will be buying more for other plants

Needs improvement
I like that I don't have to water the plants every 2-3 days. It does work, and yes the posts are not long enough or should have some sort of stopper so it doesn't sink into the earth. Very easy to fill with water. What I didn't like is that the small hose from the water gauge to the earth comes off easily and on some won't go back on. Either the hose should be thinner or the gauge connector to the hose should have some sort of clip.

Plant Watering System
Easy to setup. Lasts for about two weeks on two potted plants. Had difficulty securing one of the tubes.
