Pandora: The instant no.1 Sunday Times bestseller

really good holiday read
If you like historical novels this is a great story, with enthralling characters and situational descriptions, licence has been taken with accuracy of dates and events that add to the plot line. If you can get over those you will love the triller elements and classic Greek mythology.

Not the best but not too bad
This novel had some clichés, however it’s not boring so if you’re looking for an easy read go for this. I expected more about the Pandora myth…if you’re looking for this you’ll be disappointed

Throughly enjoyable book
I chose this book after reading a short story written by the author which had me captivated. I found the style of writing flowed in such a way that I was lost in the era and the surroundings described. The story itself is wonderfully told and I fully intend to read more by Susan Stokes-Chapman. I highly recommend this book.

An engaging plot with some fairly clunky writing
I really enjoyed the plot of this book and it did engage me, hence the four stars, but the devices and characters were often a bit on the caricature side and a little bit two dimensional. Things were resolved a little over simplistically and left me feeling a bit unsatisfied.

Pots and Pithoi
For anyone who likes to time travel back to Georgian London - this is first and foremosta historical novel, peopled with characters as carefully etched as an 18th century cameo. It’s a rollicking good read, with just enough mythology to remind us of antiquity! Best book of the year for me!

Got this book for the cover purely but now that I've had the chance to read it I definitely recommend it

Lovely, rich story.
Saying I could not put this down would be such a cliche. However, it is also true. I adored this book. It is so full and well written. The characters are believable, the descriptions of the surroundings are amazing. Obviously well researched. Once more as with other books I have enjoyed recently, this is the debut for this writer. I honestly cannot wait for the follow up.

Good for transporting you to an antique shop and yesteryears of London
The story is well written in parts but is rushed towards the end. Not that suspenseful nor mysterious... borderline on romance but that's subtle too.
