Very pretty tea set!
I bought this as a gift for my husband. It's so pretty, delicate, and he loves it. The colors are true to the advertisement. Highly recommended.

Love the design, but be aware of the packaging
The tea set is beautiful, and the detail is amazing. However, be cautious when ordering because my teapot came chipped. It was very little as shown in the photos, but the packaging is not very secure, and with the wrong carrier your set could show up with more cracks. However, I love it and I personally choose to ignore the chip.

Prettyand sized for the tea ceremony, as I now understand.
After my original review I was contacted by the seller of this tea set, earnestly imploring me to research the Chinese tea ceremony to understand why the set was so tiny. They were right, and I was wrong. The description of the set as "kung fu" (which raised my eyebrows) I misunderstood to be simply a typical Westernized catch-all phrase to sell stuff with. I have now learned that it is "Gongfu", although it is also referred to as Kung Fu, and that it refers to the Chinese tea ceremony. The seller explained that the set is small to maximize interactions between people, as well as to ensure the tea to be hot. And in researching, I learned that what I was calling a "creamer" is in fact a Gong Dao Bei - "a pitcher that holds the brewed tea and is used to serve it." I also learned that sets can have many more pieces than this simple one, as well as trays and covered cups. And they DO vary in size! Still, this set is in keeping with the intent and is not abnormally small. Mea culpa. I appreciate the sellers contacting me! My original review is below, with all complaints about size removed. I considered dropping a star for the packaging and the lid missing a catch latch, but not for size or quality, but went ahead and gave the 5 stars because of the courteous communication and lesson.**********************This is a pretty little tea set. The teapot is 4.5 inches high by 7 inches wide. The glaze is a beautiful blue with sparkles, and it is even throughout, or at least mostly. There are a few spots on the top, especially on the creamer, where it fades a little. On the whole, though, it is a even and beautiful color. The spout is tiny, and I thought it wasn't going to pour well, but it actually does. Quite smoothly in an attractive arc, with almost no drips. But the lid is missing the little "latch" teapot lids usually have that keeps it on while you are pouring. Unless you want the lid to fall right off, you have to hold it on with your fingers. The cups are well-made and comfortable in the hand, with a silky texture. They are 2 inches across by about 2 inches tall. And they also get a bit hot, although not horrendously. The set comes packaged in a shoebox like box. Padding is a dual layer of foam, with the more attractive black shaped foam on the top, and then plain old thick white Styrofoam beneath it. Most of my pieces had one or three flecks of white Styrofoam on. So in summary: pretty and sold by someone who actually DOES care! Still little, so please don't be ignorant like me! Learn about the ceremony first, so you know if this is what you need :)
