This item is very easy to use, and after downloading the App it only took minutes to start testing the batteries on my cars. The fact that it uses Bluetooth connectivity to your Smartphone makes it really easy to be inside the car while the testing is carried out. Tested some of the family’s cars as well, and found a couple of issues with them. One was already beginning to crank slower than normal, and this failed the Crank Test. And the other showed that the battery would not hold a full charge and was ready to be replaced. Saved both parties from having potential issues at the roadside, and massive inconvenience. The fact of being able to easily check your battery is getting more important nowadays as cars heavily rely on a consistent voltage to supply all the electronic modules installed throughout the car, if they see a low voltage all sorts of erroneous errors can show up on the Check Engine Light. I can recommend this for anyone whether they are a home mechanic or professional workshop. This really is the best and easiest way to test your battery in a quick and reliable way.

Downloaded the app to use with it, found that the battery on my car ( which I thought was good as never failed to start my car) was in fact at least 5 years old and was not at it full potential, consequently my stop start and various other miner things sometimes would not work properly, and all this was due to battery fault, which was showing as Charing and okay on other testing equipment. Very pleased and very good price.

Doesn’t connect to my Artidiag900. Blue light for Bluetooth goes solid showing a connection but Artdiag900 still keeps searching

Some people complain about the accuracy of this device, as they say that if they do 3 separate tests on the same day there might be a 5-10% variance in the results......I've got the variance to come right down by cleaning the battery posts and whatever you clip the crocodile clips onto. Also, the more you test the battery (including cold cranking), evidently the more the battery charge will drop - doh!Simple sense testing shows that the product works - do a test that says the battery has 41% charge and the alternator is working.... then drive up the motorway for 20 minutes, and then retesting says that the battery now has 63% charge!It's really simple to use and by being linked to your smartphone it becomes a much better piece of kit (and not just cheaper). You can now test stuff yourself without needing a sidekick, as while the gizmo is attached to your car battery, you are sat in the drivers seat turning the ignition on, cold cranking, and finally revving the engine for the alternator test. And of course, it's very easy to email yourself the results (note: if you get a lot of variance in battery health across multiple tests of the same battery, then CLEAN both the battery posts and the inside of the terminal sleeves - a cheap wire brush works fine and it takes a couple of minutes tops).Using a combination of this AND a cheap OBDII diagnostic tool (I believe that you always need BOTH) I have already saved a friend a fortune by getting him to realise that 4 of his 9 OBDII fault codes were purely down to a knackered battery (and 4 more were fixed by cleaning a couple of ground terminals!) - cynical me doesn't think that the dealership would have been so helpful...

Great gadget, you need a few mins to work out the battery capacity before it can do its thing, but phone app is excellent and looks like a trustworthy device. Nice addition to my nico battery charger & reconditioner which together have cost less than the battery being desulfonated, now good as new (capacity at least) quite satisfied

Quality piece of equipment that is accurate and extremely well made, from the packaging to the product itself and for ease of use I can’t fault it. Crocodile clips are very strong and well made and using Bluetooth to connect to your smartphone once you’ve downloaded the app means you can sit in the car whilst taking readings. I feel this battery tester is sensibly priced and I recommend it.

Really impressed with this. Simply down load the app to your phone and you can connect the module to your car battery and do the rest from inside your car. The app talks you through the 3 steps firstly tests your cars battery with everything in the car turned off then as you start the car when the battery is is under load (starting the engine) and finally charging.You can save the report or send it on to someone else.I would recommend this to anyone so easy.

Was originally a great buy, now just a good buy. Apple removed the official app from the App Store so to download it on an Apple device you have to sign up to the Apple product testing app which means downloading the app every 30days. That said it does work well for the money and when the apps back on the official Apple Store then it will be a five starer.
