Good quality and pricey
It's what I expected. Could be more happy if it was around $30

Excellent Quality, but runs very big!
This is the very first pair of these shorts that I've bought from Rothco, so it could be that this pair was incorrectly sized, but this pair ran very large. I have a 33" waist, so it should be a Medium on their size chart, but when I measured it was 36"...typically at least a large or XL on some clothing vendors product. Legs were very baggy as well, even on my muscular fairly legs.But...the quality overall is VERY good. Very heavy-duty fabric, well reinforced seams, etc. I'm going to re-purchase a size smaller (Small), and hope for a better fit!

Too large
These are baggy pants . I thought they would be form fitting but they are not. I will keep them to lounge around the house. I don’t recommend buying them.

Good shorts, but consistency in sizing is literally a huge issue
UPDATE 7/22/2014: I had a belt loop tear out which is not repairable. Sadly, this pair of shorts is garbage. WOrn less than 2 months. So much for consumer-grade materials. This is my 3rd pair of this style of shorts from Rothco. As per my review on last pair (www.amazon.com/review/RXAVPE6Z346KJ/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt#RXAVPE6Z346KJ) the same issues still persist. I'm a big dude (6'4, 309 lbs) and normally wear a 42 waist. I have ordered and returned enough pairs of these shorts now that I can say with confidence that the sizing discrepancy with these can be +/- 4 inches too big or too small for the exact same pair of shorts. Consistency is sizing is horrible.Zipper:The zipper is still garbage however this pair seems to have a slightly_ zipper. it is by no means anywhere near the quality of a YKK zipper and I also plan to replace this one as well.Material:Typical consumer grade, not milspec/surplus. Don't expect to run around in the woods with these. They will shred. If you want that, get the real deal milspec material.Belt loops:being 2 sizes smaller than my other pair of shorts from Rothco, these shorts also only have 5 belt loops. The really, really need 9 belt loops to keep the waistline from sagging and bunching oddly. With a smaller pair is not as bad but still annoying.Overall I am still happy with these despite the flaws which persist (sizing inconsistencies, zipper quality, belt loops). I wore my other pair daily last spring/summer/fall and they are still in fantastic shape. I've no doubt these will last. If you can look past the flaws, these are pretty decent and still the only real option for digital camo patters on shorts.

Not bad
They are nice thick shorts but they are military sizes so they are either to big or tot small but still not a bad product, I originally ordered a medium when I weighed 215 then I gained weight to 240 and the large is really lose on me even after washing a bunch of times, they hang below my knees a lot too

First impressions...
Once removing these shorts from the sealed bag, I tried them on just to make sure they fit; I had read reviews that stated they run somewhat large. For my 34' waist, they fit fine; I tend to wear undershirts, and these shorts didn't feel at all like they were going to slip off without a belt; there are drawstrings on both sides to help adjust the fit. 2 buttons plus a zippered fly help close up the front. The legs clear about 2-3' past my knees (I'm 5'7"), and the crotch area did not feel in any way restrictive. Drawstrings are also located at the cuffs to tighten if needed. These shorts actually have 7 pockets: 2 side pockets, 2 2-button cargo pockets, 2 single-button rear pockets, and 1 change pocket on the front right that is almost deep enough to accommodate a small folding knife or multi-tool. My Kershaw Tremor fits but protrudes about an inch. Pocket depth seems about standard for military apparel; possibly even slightly more generous. Then again, we weren't allowed to have our hands in our pockets at any time, so I guess my comparison is null and void. Whatever.Color wise, these have a subdued appearance to them; they look worn in enough for the tiger stripe pattern to be somewhat inconspicuous, but not like they've been worn by the men and women of the Armed Forces before being washed, bagged, and sold to the general public. That would just be unsanitary and unacceptable. (Please excuse me while I thoroughly inspect and sniff my pair)The shorts arrived with a Rothco-branded dog tag attached to 1 of the 5 belt loops. Nice extra detail, Rothco. I may end up purchasing a few more pairs if these prove themselves to be durable enough for my post-military service lifestyle doing absolutely nothing as rigorous as I did while serving. Hoorah, Rothco; hoorah, Amazon.

Good, but not what I thought they were....
I had been looking high and low for "digital camo" shorts, and these had been on my radar for some time now. I hesitated to order them after seeing on the fit problems. I wear a perfect 36 waist and decided to try a "medium". It was a tiny bit snug, but has since loosened up a bit and is perfect. I don't know if the military actually wears shorts, but I guess I had expected to see a mil spec label or something to indicated these were the real thing. There's nothing to indicate that with these shorts. These appear to be shorts that you could buy at any men's apparel store with the exception of the print. By contrast, my digital camo boonie hat (purchased here on Amazon) contains a mil spec label, and is the real thing. But, if you're looking for digital camo print, this is it. I wore them on vacation where tens of thousands of people congregate, and can can tell you without a doubt I had the only digital camo shorts there. As other have said, the front pockets are shallow. Change will easily fall out if you're seated, so I used the large leg pockets instead. The other problem I had is the zipper seemed to unzip over time. Several times, I noticed that I was at full or half staff. There appears to be no lock on the zipper to keep it from drifting open. The leg holes are a bit wider than what I'm accustomed to. Other than that, these shorts appear to be nicely made with adjustable lanyards for the waist and bottoms of the leg holes. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another pair now knowing what I do.

Great quality, tough but comfortable cotton
These shorts are great. Thick tough cotton. But not hot. Takes a little long to dry if splashed but not bad. Comfortable good fit. Subdued camo is good and works well with a black or dark grey shirt. As a bonus, my wife hates them. So you know that means they're basically perfect
