KitchenAid Beacon Two-Tone Mini Oven Mitt Set, 5.5"x8", Blue Velvet/Blue Heaven

Fine for using to get a cookie tray or muffin tray out of the oven. Not good for what I need, which is to take a Staub cast iron pot out of the oven. This mitten style does not work for holding onto the handles.

Love these. They’re comfy and soft and have a great heat resistance rating. They aren’t too stiff and allow for you to get a decent grip on things. I haven’t had to clean them yet, however I don’t see that being an issue. The fit loose enough that they’re easy to remove and put back on with ease. No trying to cram your hand in a tight oven mitt.

These are great mitts for managing a Dutch oven in a 450 degree oven. They are pretty big so if you have your hand in it, there is little chance that you will touch something hot by accident, but they are not so big that they are awkward to manipulate Also love that they have some “grippy strips” on them so that hot Dutch oven doesn’t slip as you move it. They are also great for grabbing hot pan handles on the stove top and sheet pans out of the oven. They are not too big, but not too small. They are thick enough to handle high heat items, but flexible enough toto get a good grip. I haven’t gotten them dirty yet, but I hope they clean easily.

Well made. Previously used other type hot pads and these are so much better.

These work pretty well. They’re still a bit stiff and new but I think they will get better with age. If that happens they will merit 5 stars from me.
