I buy bulk spices and wanted 4 oz jars, these are just what I hoped for, they are heavy glass with tight fitting screw on lids.the octagon shape and gold lids are very pretty, I think they would even make a nice gift under the right circumstances. .good pricegood quality :-)

I should have thought about the size when I purchased. They're really small, but they worked anyway. The size issues is on me, since the size was stated. I just didn't realize they'd be so tiny. There was only one defective one in the batch, so not too bad. At the end of the day, they sealed like I needed them to, so they did the job. They ended up making cute little gifts.

They are nice little jars but when the description says 4 oz., be prepared that it means liquid measure to the very top of the jar! I ordered two boxes and while one box was perfect, nothing broken or lids that pop off, the same couldn't be said of the second box. I know a lot of reviews said the same about lids popping off but the second box (of 15 jars) contained defective lids on nearly each jar.... the lid would come off the jar as you picked it up. I was able to send them back for free and just reordered another box. In the meantime, I sent an email to the seller and I don't know if that made a difference but the replacement box was perfect.

These are amazing! Super adorable but some of them came in broken!

Returned half because out of 15; 7 closed properly. I got initially super upset because I didn’t even think to check the lids prior to putting the products I’m suppose to sell.. i don’t believe it’s the lids — I believe that it’s the Jars — some are too small or whatever the situation maybe that’s not causing the lids to close properly. I’m giving 2 stars because people that sell sets like these; should have had some quality control so that they are just not sending crap or unuseful items.. this jars that I ordered are for my business so I definitely expected them to work properly .. if it was personal use; I’d probably be more understanding and can wait for another set and hopefully this time; the jars are proper.. this returning stuff is not my preference as it takes vuluable time instead of being able to use that time towards productivity. Also some Jars had a cracks as well. Just FYI —

Jars will not stay closed! This lids are useless! About 1/2 of them do not fit and the even the ones that do create such a tentative seal that they will come loose with even a slight jostle or bump. These jars are so cute but I can't image what they'd be good for with lids that won't seal. I read other reviews like this and thought that maybe people were just being too picky but I should have listened to them!

I originally bought these to try and DIY the spice jars that magnet to your fridge ( it didn’t work) but that’s okay because they are still super cute and good for the value. Still can be used as aesthetic spice jars , spell jars , etc

Although the product description recommends these jars for jam/jelly, I found that they were a poor choice for water bath canning. The lids popped off nearly all the jars once they were submerged in the warm water. I removed the jars and lids from the water and tried screwing the lids on tighter and had the same result. After my third attempt of reattaching the lids I finally got most of them to stay attached for the required five minutes. However, one jar broke near it's base.Overall they're cute little jars and would probably be great for decorative projects or crafts. But I was highly disappointed in them as canning jars. So if you're considering them for canning save yourself the headache and find something else.
