Mark! Set! Go! Instrument Fingerboard Tape: Teacher Pack

I love these tapes so much! As a violin teacher, I used to spend valuable lesson time trying to cut tapes, but these are so easy to just stick on and go! None of my students have had any tapes fall off, although the gold ones do tend to turn silver after a lot of use. Super practical and functional!

Picked up a pack for violin lessons. The bright colors make the student excited, but they do wear quickly where the hands rub against them.

PROS:- because it isn't dark and is reflective, you can't miss it- good length- easy to apply as long as you know exactly where it's supposed to go (mark the fingerboard with a pencil)CONS:- made out of paper- leaves residue unless it comes off from wearing out (so basically only the ends)- wears off more quickly than ideal, and removing it cleanly is impossible- a bit too wide for optimal intonation accuracy, especially with children/people who have thin fingersThe felt squares are fine. Nice and thin.

I'm a professional violinist and teacher of 24 years. I go through these bad boys like there's no tomorrow. I teach in VA and the humidity is high, so with the sweat and use of the fingerboard, tapes just move. These guys are sturdy, stay on better than any others I've ever used and are beautiful. Some of my older students don't like to have tapes on their instruments. These? They'll let me put on. I have at least ten packs in my home at all times. Come the apocalypse, I'm grabbing my kids, a water filter, our instruments and these bad boys. ;) Food be darned.

I rented a violin for my daughter. It came with tapes, unfortunately after 6 months they started coming off. I purchased this to replace them, they were peeling off within 2 days!

Received the finger tapes in the mail quickly, got both 'pages' (gold and silver), plus the extra Velcro thumb stick-on set that I wasn't expecting, so that was a plus!! Also, there are simple and clear usage instructions that come in the baggy with everything else (in case you're unsure how to place anything), so you're good to go! Beyond worth a few bucks, especially for beginners

The adhesive on these was terrible. Sides of the tape kept coming up, and when I finally removed the strips there was a lot of residue left behind, and it was not easy to remove. Stick with painter's tape cut into strips with a straight edge and a razor knife.

amazing quality. I have been playing the violin for 10 years now and occasionally i need some marking for when i am learning a new song with specific finger positions. this is great because when i am done i can easily remove the tape and there is no sticky residue or damage to my violin. and with the pack, i can put another one on if i need to. overall an amazing product. and i will be buying these again when i run out.
