These have worked great so far on my 650 V-Strom. I have gone on a 7 day & two 2 day adventure rides and have not had a problem with them holding the weight. I have not laid the bike down so I can't say how they will hold up if that happens though. I do recommend getting them powder coated because of the look, durability & ease of not having to do it yourself.

Went on easily. I used Loctite on all the bolts and nothing came loose

No Regrets
Bought these direct before they were available on Amazon. Liked them so much I provided a couple of the pictures that ended up in the sales listing. I was looking for a stable and symmetric system and these were the answer. Plenty of room for a homemade tool tube (see pictures in listing) on the left and no wasted space on the right.This summer I was on a group trip from the state of Washington to the Arctic Circle (6,541 miles) including about 600 miles of dirt and gravel. I lost a fastener (my fault for no Loctite) but the racks performed perfectly. Each pannier weighed in at around 30 pounds.
