I’ve had a dozen or so gates over the years. I have English mastiffs. Now, if they really wanted to go through this gate, they could. But it’s sturdy enough that they wouldn’t know that they can. Every design function this gate has works perfectly. It swings all the way open in both directions (90 degrees). Stays open if you open it all the way, and closes automatically with just a light touch. And it CLOSES SOLIDLY. I stood and played with it for a solid minute after installation, and no matter where it closed from, it closed and engaged the lock very solidly. I haven’t written a review in a while, but this gate deserved one.

Never thought I’d call a baby/dog gate beautiful but here it is. Very impressed. Beautiful color, looks like really wood but is very sturdy metal. Super easy to install and so far 3 kids and two dogs haven’t knocked them down. Highly recommend!

Probably Ideal for stairs. We got it for a hallway and it doesn’t really work with baseboards. Ours was also missing the adhesive option and we didn’t want to screw it in above the baseboards or it would become a tripping hazard stepping over it every time.

Bought this for my new dalmation puppy. It is very easy to install and extremely great quality! I personally recommend this gate for making safe spaces for your dog or cat or kid

We have had our gate up for 3 months, it was reasonable, but a touch tricky to set up. Certainly easier with 2 people than one. It is sturdy once up, however our bottom latch now sticks frequently and no longer is safe for our toddler who can move the upper latch independently. Of course, this occurs just after the warranty on it expires, rather conveniently poorly designed.Update 12/4Customer service did reach out and east easy to work with on this issue. They were helpful in resolving the issue, so I have upgraded the rating. Hoping the next one will not have this problem.
