Hawkins Horrors (Stranger Things): A Collection of Terrifying Tales

Great book

I’m always dubious of branded products but this book is actually quite well written and stories are relatively unique. Def more of a tween book. Both my kids have read it (and enjoyed it) and I am halfway though myself!

Honestly found the whole book to be really boring. Had to force myself to finish the whole thing. Couldn’t get into any off the stories. Ended up throwing the book away.

Netflix should be more carefull, cheap books like this can really hurt their IP. By far the worst Stranger Things book released. If you want to make kids hate books, that's the way to go. They really didn't put any effort in ten project. A desperate attempt to make money. They forgot to hire an author. Just an example of how bad this is, one of the tales ends quth "and it was all just a dream". I want my money back.

As an older fan of Stranger Things, I wasn't sure what to expect from this, which is listed as a YA book, but I bought it for my collection anyway. And I am so glad I did, because it's probably my second favorite ST book, after "Darkness on the Edge of Town."It's surprisingly graphic in some parts, but the framing device is the Hawkins gang telling spooky stories, so it feels similar to something like "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark."I won't say too much about the stories themselves, because you can tell this is going to tie-in directly to the upcoming season 4. But they're all very well-written, and the dialogue is very accurate to the characters.
