It comes with 4 small hooks (barely noticeable) that you screw into your ceiling, effortlessly, and you just hang the 4 corners of the canopy from them. It was really easy and looks great!

Yes. Mine is still attached to our popcorn ceiling. Great product. We have two. Very industrial. Still up over a year later.
