Not bad!
I got it for the ability to move it as I wanted instead of having it fixed at a certain position. The picture quality is nice, the interface is easy to interact with. I wish it had speakers though instead of plugging them with the AUX output.Good overall for a budget gaming monitor

VA monitors need 165Hz for smooth gameplay.
When I first got this, I lowered the the refresh rate to 60Hz, thinking I didn't need any higher because that was the setting on my old TN monitor which ran games smoothly. I also wasn't sure if higher hertz was more taxing on my old graphics card(GTX 1060) so I went for the lower setting. However, the same 60Hz on this Samsung Odyssey G3, produced noticeable ghosting/blur on fast paced games. A week later, changing the refresh rate back to 165Hz fixed the issue, and games/movies now play very smoothly without ghosting. As this is a VA monitor with deep blacks and vibrant whites and colours, picture quality is simply outstanding. The old TN monitor with its washed out colours could not come close. Because the whites are quite vibrant I had to add a touch of yellow in the Windows night light settings which I have on all day to make reading on my kindle app more comfortable on the eyes. Also to improve picture quality, adjusting the gamma settings in the screen calibration tool in Windows 10/11 helps to improve how smoothly black transitions to white, otherwise a person in a black suit can appear bodyless. In decades, I've tried many different monitor brands, BENQ, LG, HP, DELL, but I've always had eyestrain with varying degrees when using them. IPS panels are the worst for eyestrain, maybe due to IPS glow. Not sure what exactly it is with this Samsung monitor, my first one, but I no longer get eyestrain anymore. VA definately helps because the high colour contrasts makes images easier to see, but also the 250 nits typical brightness of this G3 means its comfortable on the eyes in any ambient lighting, dark or light. This monitor has minimum 200 nits, which is what I use, brightness at 0, contrast at 40, as I use a desk lamp and because of the vibrant colours, it doesnt affect readability. It's also great for the eyes and therefore perfect for working long hours. Also, for good eyecare make sure to set the response time(fast, faster, fastest) in the monitor menu to "faster". The "fastest" setting uses a hack called blacklight strobing(typical of all VA monitors) to reach 1ms response time, which can cause eystrain and headaches because of the flickering. "Faster" setting doesnt use black light strobing so there is no flicker and combined with 165Hz produces the optimum movie/gaming experience. After using this monitor for several weeks now, I've come to the conclusion that Samsung make the best monitors. The picture quality, eye care, and performance are world class. It's perfect for work, reading for long periods, browsing, movies and gaming.

Defiantly NOT a gaming monitor, decent enough for office tasks and productivity though
There is so much display ghosting on any fast moving objects the screen just blurs, just not suitable for gaming at all. So bad in games with lots of foliage it give me a eye strain and a headache. The bezels are angled so you can get two monitors close together (if you want them angled) but there is still a ~1.2cm gap, hardly the borderless design advertised and seen in the photos. There is a motion blur reduction setting, but all that seems to do is turn the brightness down so low you can't see anything. Such a disappointment because I was looking to upgrade my 10 year old Samsung P2450H24 and didn't imagine that such a new screen would be 10x worse. Claims 165Hz refresh rate but mine only seem to go to 144Hz. Maybe 165Hz is for Freesync or something.Gaming aside this is a decent enough monitor for the price when on offer. Nice vibrant colours, bright display with deep blacks, good for photo editing but the viewing angle isn't as good as IPS panels so make sure you are looking directly at the screen, not from an angle.Overall recommended but not if you want to do any gaming. For gaming stay well away from this.

Excellent entry level gaming monitor. But need a deep desk ;)
I am really impressed with this monitor; it represents a significant upgrade from my laptop screen. The colors and refresh rates are excellent, especially considering it's an entry-level monitor at this price point. However, the one aspect I'm not particularly fond of is the monitor stand. It protrudes quite a bit, almost a whole foot, which becomes problematic for me since I have a small desk. As a result, the monitor ends up almost right on top of my keyboard, which can be quite annoying! Additionally, my desk is placed against the wall, which leaves me stuck with the monitor uncomfortably close. For the time being, I've had to remove the stand and temporarily balance the monitor on a small container.I can't quite understand what the designers were thinking with this particular design choice. Unfortunately, considering the inconveniences caused by the stand, I don't believe the monitor justifies its asking price. It's disappointing that I now have to consider purchasing a third-party stand to replace the poorly designed stock one.
