Comfortable fit resolve foot pains
I have purchased and worn Merrill Moab shoes for about 8 yrs. I hike and walk a lot and found my expensive hiking boots rubbed several toes and I developed foot pains including plantar fasciitis. I tried several boots with no luck. I finally bought some Merrill mid height boots an installed a high quality insert and after several months the problems were solved. The wider toe box helped my toes and the shoe and insert fixed the other pains. I have a number of Merrill shoes including this one and will not switch. They cost much less than the other boots and are far more comfortable for me

Great shoe, Great price, built to last!
I got these shoes at 50% off. They look great but the price was the selling point. They are definitely for trails and hiking. If you walk a-lot on pavement or everyday these are not for that. I walked 5 miles on pavement breaking them in. Only 1 hotspot so still good but I replaced the inner soles with Dr. Scholls. These are alot of leather which I like but have to break in. I hiked 4 miles on a trail of dirt and grass and no issues. I would give them a 7/10 on waterproof. The gortex is good but need to test more and check the toe area. Overall a great pair of shoes! :)

Stability and sturdy
I am at 6’4” a little wobbly on my feet at times so I was looking for a shoe that provided some stability in the step, and this one has a good Vibram platform. It so far seems good in snow and mud. The uppers seem to weather the moisture. There’s a slight rise where the heel meets the sole plate in the shoe, at first concerning but I’ve gotten used to it. So far pleased with the purchase. Went with wide on first try based on some recommendations but returned and switched to medium which is a better fit. Took a 4 mile walk in snow and mud and it was great.

Great shoe
I have had numerous pairs of the MOAB shoe (short and mid) over the years. They fit well, are conforatable and perform very well. I have always purchaed the GTX/Goretex for the water proofing and breathabilty. You can save a few bucks if you can still buy the Moab 2, now that the Moab 3's are out.

Great Hiking Shoes
I like Merrell hiking shoes. This particular design looks nice, light weight and are water resistant. The Vibram soles last for an extended period. So far a great summer outdoor shoe!

Do your feet a favor!
15 to 20 years ago, I use to have trouble with pain on the bottom of my right foot when I would walk far. The athletic shoes I was wearing at the time all had a three section almost "articulated" construction design on the bottom of the shoe. I found my first pair of Merrill's on sale and bought them because they were "on sale". Shortly after I started wearing them I noticed my foot no longer hurt me. This caused me to examine the shoe to determine why it was different. That is when I noticed the Merrill didn't have the "three" section tread design. Now 20 year and probably 20 pairs of Merrill's later they are the only brand of shoes I'll buy. No more pain! Amazon has better prices than the Merrill outlet store! I go to the store to find what I like and try the shoe on and then come home and order the same shoe from Amazon and save $20! Plus free returns if needed! Do your feet a favor if you have never worn a pair of Merrill's give them a try...I think you will like them! (Another thing I love about them is the little "pull-on" finger ring on the back of all Merrill's is actually big enough to fit your finger in!)

Versatile shoe
Impressed with the quality and versatility. Bought these for day-to-day usage like work, gardening, chores, etc. and seem to hold up just fine.

Nice and comfortable.
Was like I expected, very well made and fits great. I have not tried it in the rain yet but I'm sure that it will be good.

Comfortable over all terrains
Right from the first walk, great fit and breathable too. Not totally waterproof in a deluge but a heavy shower..yes. Had these for 6 months now, rock solid performance 👍🏻
