Best thing for lap swimming!
This is one of my favorite purchases ever! These bone conduction headphones work incredibly well underwater and making my daily lap swimming so much more enjoyable. They work much better if you use the earplugs they come with, or any waterproof earplugs, but it's not necessary, just makes the sound clearer and louder. You have to load your own music onto it. You can also load podcasts, books, etc. They have an amazing return policy and really honor their product. I think it's easy for them to do since they are well made and work well. They're comfortable, easy to use, and the sound is clear. Can't say enough about these. If you're a lap swimmer, this will change your game. The only issue will be, if you're like me, you'll find it difficult to swim without them.

Simple Pefection! Great Sound Quality, Easy to Use (and they answer the phone!)
Absolutely fantastic product - it feels like it was designed by swimmers for swimmers. I've tried a few MP3 players for swimming - starting with the waterproof Nano. Sound quality, ease of use and durability were always the issue.Pros:Great sound quality. I swim in an Endless Pool and so the ambient noise of the water flowing/motor are higher than in a standard pool. I definitely needed to use the earplugs they include - but with them, absolutely perfect. I am careful to set the volume before I start swimming to make sure I keep it at a safe level. No issue at all with the bone conduction - love it. No - your teeth don't rattle! It feels exactly like an ear bud without the irritating bud in your ear.Easy to use. When swimming - the logic of the buttons are a must. These are perfect. Super simple to tactically feel the volume/skip buttons. Loading it with music was the same as any standard MP3. Worth noting that the charging cable is ingenious! It's a pin charger which means contact is essential and the USB charger connects with a clasp that keeps it in exactly the right place - and it can hang off a charger etc without losing connection - brilliant.Comfort. Anyone tired of having the quality of the music dependent on jamming the ear buds in to your ear and having to reposition them when they come loose will appreciate the bone conduction. As shown in the pictures - this wraps around the back of your head, comes over your ears and rests comfortably on the bone in front of your ear. I prefer to have a cap covering my ears which made these a bit awkward but giving that up, they are fine - and even swimming against a strong current in my Endless Pools these stay in position without any difficulty.Thoughtful additions. Love the rubber case (ventilated no less). Very thoughtful addition of excellent quality ear plugs. Fantastic charging system as mentioned. Wonderful tactical feel to the rubberized skin around the ear phones - they just feel high quality (and the blue is really great looking!).Great support. I was confused by the pre-loaded songs and thought I'd received a return from Amazon. Called them and was connected instantly. I don't always check up on customer service but when I know it's either particularly good or bad it's worth a mention.Value. Relative to other solutions out there - I found this to be an outstanding value.Comment on Lack of Blue Tooth: I would love it to have bluetooth for streaming Spotify - but that would mean having to have my very not waterproof iPhone on the pool deck which is just a bad idea for me. I tried and returned another system that was Bluetooth compatible and there are two issues that made it not worth the hassle. First - bluetooth doesn't travel through water so the device has to be carefully positioned and - at least in my case, the wi-fi signal where I swim isn't that strong and that means being organized enough to have offline playlists which I'm not. I'm sure this brand is going to figure it out but while swimming, I'm just happy to have tunes, it doesn't have to be my latest Spotify playlist.Cons:I haven't found a single one. I haven't had it long enough to test quality or battery/charge life but not concerned. For some, the lack of bluetooth and limitation of MP3 which means owning the music might be a negative. Thanks to the team at Shokz - the extra effort shines through. Wonderful to see a brand go the extra mile (and cost) for a great customer experience and service.

The Best Swimming Earbuds Available
First, if you're considering buying some swimming earbuds, let's be clear, those with Bluetooth aren't able to allow you to stream music because Bluetooth does not work in water. Period. So this means you're ultimately using a set of earbuds for its ability to play stored music you have downloaded to it. The Shokz OpenSwim MP3 player is the best one I've tried to date. The other two brands I have tried included Bluetooth but they had problems and the sound quality was not as good.First problem with the other two brands that each were about half the price of these is that they didn't stay on well in the water doing a standard set of pool laps. In both cases there were flaws in the design from where I sit.Second problem with the first brand I had is that not only did it have flimsy wires to connect with my ears, eventually it physically fell apart due to what appeared to be rust where the MP3 player connected to the earbud wires. The problem with the second pair I bought was that it wasn't long before any PC I would use to load songs onto the MP3 would not recognize the device. Whether or not that is a problem with Windows or how the device is built, I can't say. What I CAN tell you is that plenty of other reviewers complained of the same defect.Sometimes you get what you pay for - that's the case here. Yes I paid nearly twice as much as the inferior brands, but it fits really well and doesn't drag or come off in the water which was a problem with the other two I purchased. Secondly, the controls for the sound levels are far superior to the other two as is the overall quality of sound which, in this case, is bone induction. However, if you use the plugs provided, it will sound like standard earbuds if that's what you prefer - which I mostly do.Last thing, I've had no problem with PCs identifying the device, so I'll be able to load music without any problem. This is an excellent set of earbuds and highly recommend it to you over others at half the price if you want something that will last and offer you good sound and reasonable battery life of 2-3 hours.

Generally good waterproof headphones.
Purchased a pair of these about 6 months ago and started having problems with them holding a charge. Sometimes the battery would be low even though they had just been charged. I believe this is because they sometimes turn themselves on when not in use and it drains the battery. I talked to another user of these headphones, and he had the same issue. So I contacted Shokz and they sent me a new pair immediately. High marks for customer service, questionable marks for headphones that drain juice even when you're not using them. Other than that, they seem pretty good. These are bone conduction headphones, so they don't sound as good as in-ear headphones, but you can definitely hear them clearly while you're swimming. Loading music onto them is straightforward as long as you know how to convert music to MP3.
