Are these needles size 10?

I don't know if they are size 10, but they are extra fine needles that I use for really tiny seed beads

11 or 12. Unlabeled, but definitely not 10 or 13.

When I tried to thread the needles (w/ 3-play nylon thread) using the included threader, it was too big to slide back through. What am I doing wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong. It just means the thread and threader combo is too thick for that size needle. You would need to either use thinner sized thread, a larger size needle, or not use the threader to thread the needle.
