We bought this for our daughter for her 18th BD. I will admit I was very skeptical with this purchase. I ordered early in case I needed to find a replacement. This was a hard purchase because she really can't stand pearls but her father insisted on each of his daughters having a special piece from him in their birthstone. She LOVES them! ( the black did it) The quality is superb! Good weight. Feels wonderful. The chain is a bit thin, we don't care for it.... But the pendant is worth every penny. We did purchase the matching earrings. They are just as perfect. The color is slightly different from pendant to earrings but this is expected in pearls. It does not take away from the beauty or quality.

So I originally bout this for my GF for Xmas. This is a really pretty necklace. Unfortunately it was a little too elegant for my lady friend.She wanted a simple necklace that I ultimately found on amazon. This necklace is not as much for everyday wear. It is a dressy pendent that you can wear out to a fancy party, or dinner. If your looking for something simple then I would not buy this. However if your looking for a nice pearl necklace that you can wear to a fancy event, this is for you.
