Beautiful quality
I wasn't sure I could use 5 pounds, but after communicating with the seller, I was assured it keeps well under refrigeration.I received the shipment very quickly, and it was well-packaged and extremely fresh! Instead of one five pound block, there are four 1.25 pound blocks pressed together, and the entire amount was wrapped. It made it very easy to break them apart and wrap individually.The tamarind is 100% pure with no additives. It contains the entire fruit, minus the hard seeds, including the pulpy and fibrous parts. It is naturally sweet and tart - delicious. Because this paste does not appear to be processed, there might be a bit of husk or shell bit.I purchased this 6/17, and the label notes it was produced 2/17 with an expiration date of 2/19. Even if you don't think you need 5#, you might find yourself snacking on it often!I would purchase this again.

low quality
this is the second time i have ordered this product but this time the product is very low grade , they are advertising that it is tamrind pulp but the what i got is loaded with tamrind seeds and strings .i will suggest to every body to go to local thai or indian grocery store and get it from there . at least you will be able to see what you are buying.and may be cheaper
