Maxx Air Maxxair 1020270 Lift Motor

Used it to replace the motor on a fan just out of warranty, of course. Having said that this was easy to install and now I know what a good motor should sound and work like. The old motor was clearly weak from the factory.

Our ceiling fan/vent in our RV was broken and it wouldn't open. The dealership service department told us it was the motor and gave us the phone # for MaxxAir because they said it would be less expensive to go to manufacturer. Called MaxxAir in Indiana and they gave us the part #. They would have gladly shipped it to me but again, they were kind enough to tell me we could get it faster and cheaper on Amazon. Who does that any more, right?? Well, this was easy to install and our ceiling vent and fan work perfectly again.

This is the exact part replacement for most Maxxair lift arm motors found on roof mounted units. Easy install.

Arrived in a timely manner, undamaged and a direct fit.. however, I would strongly suggest doing the circuit board first.

Comes fully assembled. Easy to remove except up high in RV ceiling. Replacement is difficult due to having to work looking up and screws are not magnetic so hitting right holes to get first screw in was challenging. Totally works perfectly as both mechanical parts went bad together apparently so replaced both at same time.

Replacement lift motor; works well.

First replaced the MAXXAIR VENT 10A20281K1 (outside open door mechanism) that seams to be the most common issue, didn't solve the problem. When removing the old lift motor (that can be split into 2 parts), I noticed that a gear had lost a few teeth. Ordered this replacement motor lift, works like a new fan now.Installation is strait forward, once you figure out it much easier to do when the outside door mechanism is removed. Quite a few video on youtube explains how it's done.To access the lift motor, remove the mosquito net, then the manual open/close handle and the 5 screws that hold the circular plastic cover.
