Q: how much does the 16 x 20 weight

I got the 12 x 20 16ml thick tarp and it probably weighs 20 to 25lbs. But I did not weigh it. I am 71 (about 5'7") and very active and was able to lift it from the ground while going up a ladder over the top support of a carport canopy frame. I do have good upper body strength so even though it was difficult to get it all the way over my head across the bar, it was do-able. It was unfolded the width of the piece by 18" so the weight was concentrated.

Q: Can I use it as pool tarp?

You probably could as long as you have something to support the middle of the pool/ tarp so it doesn’t sink. Pool covers have that bubble like material to help it stay at the top.

I think that I remember that when I received this tarp that I read that it was made in China. Also I do not believe that it is not heavy duty as I know for sure that I presently a tarp that is truly heavy duty. The two do not compare in thickness.
