Glassine When I Need It
Online shopping with affordable shipping is important. Finding the right size for glassine envelopes and plastic photo sleeves means "shopping online" for me in small town America. Right now I am sorting through a 40 year old collection of 1970's and earlier international scouting stamps; putting them in new larger envelopes to protect them.

Probably polypropylene, the "new" glassine
Glassine is no longer glassine (made with a special process from wood pulp). These are plastic, similar in feel. The search AI says that it is PP (polypropylene) which is an archival-grade plastic. I use this material as sleeves for cards that I must carry in my wallet which may transfer ink to other surfaces. This material has worked fine, but is not as easily creased to fit my cards.
