Mad CatzT.R.I.K.E. 13 Compact Premium Mechanical Wired Gaming Keyboard with Aluminum Frame Cherry MX RED switches and RGB Lighting

I have another Mad Catz 4 and I've had it for many years now. I bought a new one only because a couple keys have worn off, I cannot read them anymore. but the keyboard still works like a charm. If I had my way I'd ALWAYS use this keyboard. I'd tried others but this one is better then them all.

As others have said, this keyboard sporadically disconnects, stops working and I have to unplug from USB, then plug in again. Probably a driver issue, but even with their drivers installed, the issue persists. It looks and feels amazing, but this is a deal breaker.

Bought it....this thing is nothing like the plastic keyboards I had bought in a store over my life....this thing has a good weight...it's solid...the coloration is nice....not amazing but nice. I bought another to go with my back up system.

Keys feel smooth. Fun to press and are optimal for gaming. I thought i liked the Cherry blue switches but changed my mind when i played with this glorious piece of tech. Mad Catz made a great product here worth every $.

Exactly as advertised! Very high quality! Everything works so well so I wouldn't pay more for other brands. This comes with all the bells and whistles! 5☆☆☆☆☆

I love how it feels when typing on a mechanical keyboard, which I love using while working at home (I don’t use it at work because the sound could irritate some other people).This one is a decent mechanical wired keyboard which may not be too special but a decent one for the price for sure. If you’ve never tried the mechanical keyboard before and you are a gamer, this one might be a good one to try out. As with many others of this kind, you can customize the setting to create macros and different light effects (up to 18 or so if I remember correctly). Every key has the independent RGB LED to personalize your gaming experience. For me these are not really important, but I know many gamers are serious about this because my brother is a professional gamer/streamer. You can also access the popular commands via multimedia and lighting shortcut keys. This compact keyboard can also be ideal to take it with you when you need to play games somewhere other than your usual workstation. The keycap puller makes cleaning quite convenient, easy, and quick. Overall, I am satisfied with the performance of this keyboard and haven’t really had continuing disconnecting issues over the last 5 months :)

I like this. After my Satechi Slim X3 I'm a sucker for an aluminium faceplate, though this one is a bit of a half measure as it has a plastic base rather than aluminium. It's not a big deal, but I'd probably have fallen in love with an all aluminium shell.The stylised lettering on the keys takes a little getting used to for typing (obviously not an issue if you're a touch typist), but it was fine after a couple of hours. The keys have a nice solid feel to them without too loud a noise.All in all I'm pretty happy. I'm not sure I'm quite ready to make this my daily keyboard, but it's definitely up there.

Mad Catz's Compact Mechanical Keyboard is nicely made with a metal top and plastic base. The attached cable is long and has a fabric sleeve. They keyboard is rigid and does not bend or flex when using it, but it doesn't have the same dense and "carved from a brick" feel that slightly more expensive keyboards from Logitech and Razer have. Also I would have preferred a detachable cable. I did appreciate the built-in storage for the key puller on the back of the keyboard.I am using the Mad Catz on a 27" iMac running iOS 10.15.7. I am not a gamer but I much prefer using a mechanical gaming keyboard for the robust build quality, pleasant typing feel, and fun lighting effects they offer. This Mad Catz hits all the marks. The keys are nicely spaced and sized. I rarely hit the wrong key. I would, however, prefer it if the caps lock key had a stepped down edge closer to the letter A key so it would be harder to accidentally activate caps lock.The keys have a wonderful feel when pressed. They offer smooth travel with a distinct stop when they hit the end of their travel. The clicking sound they make is satisfying and not distracting or cheap sounding.The lighting effects are fun and the keys are evenly backlit. On a Mac I cannot customize the effects, but there are a handful built into the keyboard itself.The multifunction keys for volume and music control work fine on the Mac, although I would have preferred a volume knob.Having used full-size and tenkeyless keyboards I feel that this Mad Catz strikes a nice balance between size and function. By pressing the logo button that is on the top right of the keyboard you can toggle the number pad between functioning as a number pad or directional keys. It takes some getting used to but I am now able to quickly switch between the numbers and directional keys without pausing.All in all... a great keyboard.

Came on time. Works amazing. First metal keyboard I ever owned. The colours are cool but if there's anyway to self program the patterns I would love to dive into the programming method for the pattern waves. The inbuilt software is glitchy and buggy if you want to customize it that way but there's also the hotkeys to change colours which I'm aware of. Other than that I would have rated 10/10. Best keyboard I ever owned honestly.
