The only ingredient I found throughout the recipes that might be slightly less common in a US household or grocery store are digestive biscuits, which can be purchased on desertcart for around $8. The cookbook itself is incredibly well made, easy to follow and has a lot of great information on the science behind each bake.

Twist is easy to follow and has yielded amazing results thus far
The book is so well thought out, it starts with 'basic' recipes that you can modify in so many different ways. Twist is easy to follow and has yielded amazing results thus far. Whether you are an amateur or experienced baker, I think you'll find the recipes and flavors unique and refreshing. In love with this book; can't wait for Crave to come out!

This book is great! I got it for Christmas and have made a few of the bakes and they turned out amazing! I have only recently started baking so I am quite amateurish, but Martha does a phenomenal job at explaining the recipes in great detail and even going into some of the science of baking at times, which I find extremely helpful. It is a very well written book.

I am obsessed with the Great British Baking Show. Martha was one of my favorite contestants. Her recipes are absolutely gorgeous, and fun to make. One of my favorite purchases.

"That's a Good Bake" - Paul Hollywood
Martha Collison has been my favorite baker on "GBBO" and her book is jaw droppingly gorgeous. Being state-side, the recipes are novel and there are some conversions to be done, but that's easily handled. The pictures are outstanding. Do not read when hungry.

Easy to Follow
I absolutely love this book! The recipes are wonderful and the directions are very easy to follow. I've made a few recipes now, and they've all come out beautifully.

I can't agree with the negative reviews! This is my favourite baking book. It is well written with lots of helpful information especially if you are a new baker (which I am not! I like that she gives a "basic" recipe and then offers variations on a theme, there is something for everyone regardless of skill level. I bought the book on the basis that I had tried one of her recipes "pistachio and lime courgette cake" when it was published in a newspaper weekend magazine. Fantastic way to use up excess courgettes in the summer, you would never know it contained courgettes, and it was eagerly devoured by my family! The "Bollywood bar" was a great take on the classic rocky road, and today I made the "Ginger and white chocolate loaf" for an event and everyone loved it! There is a lot to like about this book and so far I have not found a single negative!

I got this out of the library and liked it so much I bought it. Practical ways of changing recipes to suit your taste or what you have in the kitchen. Looking forward to her second book.

It's hardly surprising that this baking book is by far the best. Martha is a wonderful girl with a lovely bubbly personality and it really comes across in this book and her recipes. Such a vast range of receipes and different kinds of baking with then the options to add, you got it, a Twist! The pictures are fantastic and the quality of the book is superb. This is a baking book suitable for all ages and even a wonderful one for Christmas. I was an amatuer baker until I bought this book and it had some easy recipes to get me started and then allows me to try some much more challenging recipes. p.s Also if you like baking and gin, that is a good enough reason to buy this regardless of all the other amazing reasons listed above, trust me! Remember 'Twist' - this bakery book is full of wonderful twists!

Although I would have liked more illustration (not every recipe is shown) this book contains lots of recipes that I know I will try. I like the way she gives very straightforward instructions.
