Bought two of these for a project and both make an awful high pitched noise that drives my dogs crazy. Returning.

Great DIY toyThis is most likely a factory surplus.This arrived in a clean condition, but packaged in a thin plastic bag with my address pasted on. There is no visible damage. They should definitely put it in bubble wrap or at least wrap some paper around it.Inside the anti-static bag is the circuit board, piezoelectric disc, and a tube that looks like packed cotton.The circuit board is 1.5 inches long and about the thickness of a pinky finger or 5/8 th of an inch. At the tip is a USB-C connector. And, yes, it is indeed a USB-C connector. The picture says micro USB; the description says micro USB, but that's incorrect.The bottom of the board is flat except for the two solder points for the white connector.The coil gets hot. The piezoelectric element also gets hot.This device uses about .4A at 5 volts. The amount of current fluctuates depending on how you apply the moisture.To use, plug in the USB-C. Press the button. The LED comes on. Place some moister against the disc. A cloud of mist should start to blast. If It barely puts out mist, then place moister on the other side. It only works one-way. This must be done quickly because the disc gets very hot. Heat is bad for any electronics, as you know.The disc has tiny holes.The seller is underselling themselves. They should also post some instructions.

didnt work

Arrived in a single envelop.No instructions, but pretty straight forward.Connected to USB Walmart, pressed the button and instant mist plume exactly like the photos and video. Tried using the supplied wick in a bowl of water and got another mist stream exactly as I wanted.Just have to build a case and liquid container for it now.

The media could not be loaded. The board is great, still testing it to see what features it has such as auto shutoff or timer modes which i dont think it has. As mentioned in the other comment the board does use USB C connector which is a major plus as the world moves away from usb micro. I give it 3 stars not 5 because the actual disc is small im looking to build a bigger oil diffuser for a large space. Nonetheless as shown in the video it does a great job for its size and yes you can diffuse fragrance oils with this device, it made my room smell nice.
