Meet Jesse, the skull
The quality is really good! The written cards are kind of useless and not super accurate with the naming, but still good for studying.Jesse is a great buddy for helping me study for my neuroscience classes!

Great quality but not 100% accurate
The quality is nice, everything is well put together. Only issue I have is some of the labeling is not anatomically correct.Examples:Bone marking #10 on the skull says “Cheekbones”, although yes it is the cheekbone, it’s not the correct anatomy term. The correct name would be “Zygomatic bone”#16 says “Herringbone stitch” but correct word is “Lamboid Suture”#35 says “The orbit under the hole” correct word is “Infraorbital Foramen” … come on nowThere are more errors on the labels but those are just some.I would recommend googling a picture of the correct terms and make your own label guide and don’t use the one it came with. You want to memorize the correct words!I would still recommend to buy, great hands on piece and good value.Happy learning (:

Love the detail. Kids are engaged
Middle school science classroom. This is an excellent teaching model with the level of detail on the components of the brain. The kids love working with it interactively.

My New Buddy, Einstein
Use this in my classroom while teaching about the brain. Had a little difficulty at first putting the parts back together, but got better with practice. Nice investment. The students love it and it’s pretty f so durable. Not cheaply made.

Students - nope, anatomists - meh. Not accurate.
Some of the bony markings are not named at all. And the ones that are named may have names like “ear opening” instead of external acoustic meatus. And the foramen magnum is the brainstem opening. Seriously. Did they have a scientist or even a student who took even a single anatomy course help them?My advice is - if you are not familiar with bones, bony markings, and the brain, this is NOT the purchase for you. Unless you love the research. If, however, you are an anatomy professor, as I am, you will be annoyed at the fact that some important foramina are missing and the brain is not especially correct. But you’ll be able to figure out the anatomical names.Bottom line - 1 star for students3 stars for anatomists
