It Works As Advertised
This monitor works great once you understand how to set it up. The instructions are not the easiest to understand and follow, but once you start getting familiar with the monitor it becomes easier. There are some tutorials on YouTube that helped some. The software installed easily on my PC (I have Windows 10). Downloading of ABP data from the unit was easy but when complete, I get a message stating No Data Found, even though the data was downloaded successfully. The application display provides alot of information and the reports were all successfully generated and printed. I have found some differences in what the user guide says and how the displays actually work which was frustrating at first but you just have to work with it. If you have computer savvy people around to help you work through the problems it will be easier I suppose, but I do not have that luxury. In sum, it does what it is supposed to do and generates useful reports to share with your physician.

Great Device, But Requisite Software Not Provided, User Manual A Clumsy Read
PROS: Great functionality. Accurate readings. Convenient and comfortable to wear. Single BP measurements are possible, as well as automatic measurements at user-specified time intervals. Excellent value for money. User Manual well organized and informative.CONS: User Manual is generally a clumsy read. Contec should pay for someone to proofread/edit text for proper grammar and better readability. Worst complaint is total absence of requisite software to connect ABPM50 to a PC or laptop. Contec did not provide a CD or other storage device with software with ABPM50. Nothing in the User Manual regarding an online source for software downloading purposes. Had to contact Contec Tech Support to resolve, which they ultimately did after some time. They ultimately provided a zip file with the software in an email attachment. Software installation, however, involved three attempts (install, uninstall, install, uninstall, install). Software PDF installation instructions in zip file incomplete, did not mention finding a certain EXE file to launch it.BOTTOM LINE: Can conditionally recommend with expectation that buyer will need to contact Contec for software. If Contec provides software, or advises online source of software, then I can unconditionally recommend this product, even if the User Manual text remains unrevised.

Cannot find software or get support
Like all Contec products there is no support . No body answer even after 2 months questions on on Contec support published email address or Whatsapp number! What a waste of money . Retrun to Amazon do not work when you are overseas. How does Amazon accept to sell products from Contec . Amazon should at put an alert there is no support. Amazon should put an alert against all Chinese products that it sells as you will never be able to reach anybody from company and most of these products works poorly.

Having this type of recording device opens up quite interesting possibilities
Works as advertised and isn't intrusive. I've been able to sleep well even with it taking BP readings every 15 minutes (the shortest interval it will allow). But I sleep on my sides, so whether I was on the right or left side (over/under the arm with the cuff) impacted the values I got. Either that or I have wild BP variations thru the night. So I decided to average them for a crude result. Ideally, I would sleep on my back the whole night, not sure how to accomplish that, though. The menu is byzantine (i.e. complex, complicated, involved, intricate, elaborate, convoluted, tangled, knotty, labyrinthine) and it's hard to imagine that someone would want it this way. There must have been some hardware limitation that led to this unintuitive result, no other excuse I can think of. Definitively plenty of room for improvement there. An idea I had was to use the pulse oximeter recorder (from the same company) that I got a few years back in tandem with this ambulatory blood pressure meter. Then synchronize the data collected from both devices to verify any significant correlations between registered events. Not sure where that will lead me, it just an idea for now. I'm just a curious guy with too much time on my hand and some knowledge of statistics. And that explains this meandering and pointless review. I'm sorry you read it!

Inconvenient but cheaper than medical-grade meters
As others have noted, the cuff is inconvenient and the user manual is inferior. That said, I was taking blood pressures within an hour and the results are similar to those obtained with my LifeSource UA767.The meter functions well in the 24-hour ambulatory mode. The lack of functioning Windows 10 software is a downer but it takes only thirty minutes to manually transcribe a hundred measurements (24 hours) to a spreadsheet.I have some concern as to the mean arterial pressure (MAP) is determined. The values are significantly different from the values calculated as one third the systolic pressure plus two thirds the diastolic pressure. The cuff, the manual and the software are serious deficiencies, which is why I rate the meter only 3-star. Technical support has not responded to emails. On the other hand, this meter is less than one tenth the price of medical-grade instruments.
