2017 release from former Misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein. Doyle, the younger brother of the Misfits bassist, Jerry Only, was originally a roadie for the band and was taught how to play guitar by lead vocalist Glenn Danzig and his brother. He joined the Misfits in October 1980 at the age of 16. Doyle was the band's third guitarist, replacing Bobby Steele (The Undead) after Steele failed to show up to practice sessions. Review: ABOMINATION OF DEATH! - If you liked the first album Abominator, you are going to LOVE this album! It seems Alex has either been taking singing lessons or has just loosened up enough to experiment and found his sound. His vocals kill on here, he hits so many different ranges he didn't touch in the first album. Lyrics are really good and the songs are unforgettable. Lets not forget the monster himself, Doyle! Huge chunky riffs. Doyle isn't and never had been a shredder, but he does sprinkle some pretty sweet leads in there every now and again. Drumming on this matches the previous album in the intensity and timing. The bass is good, nothing really shines out about it but without it these songs would fall apart. With special guest vocals from singer of Arch Enemy (Doyle's GF or Wife) and singer of Lamb of God (Randy Blythe) puts some really cool sounds on a couple of songs that fans of this genre will absolutely enjoy. Review: Blown Away - The best way this album can be described is a heavier version of Graves era Misfits. This album really caught me by surprise and I'm really glad I picked it up. Like I said, this takes the best parts of the 90s Misfits and deeply infuses it with ore metal, for a fun time. This is definitely better than the first Doyle album (still a good album) due to the fact that it feels much more focused and a lot more consistent. I also feel this is the album Doyle and the boys should have made in the 90s, as it is not handicapped by the Misfits name. Having that name would always split the fan base, so without it, more people will give it a chance. Anyways, if your a fan of horror punk or old school heavy metal, you will love this album.

Another winner from Doyle
This album is great, and at least as good as the first if not better. I was pleased to hear some vocal harmony that almost reminded me of the Misfits, but I haven't bought Doyle in hopes of hearing Misfits, I like what he has been doing on his own. I know this is called "Doyle II" but did anyone else get two duplicate disks (I got two disks and two small paper inserts in the same folder section - seems to have been a mechanized shipping error). If you like metal or heavy music - give Doyle a try.

Great follow up to the original album with several new ...
Great follow up to the original album with several new songs bound to stick in your brain like ice picks, including another "sing along" song and one with female vocals. IIts good enough i picked it up on vinyl and mp3 but as i found out later the vinyl comes with a free digital download. Id say it stays crunchy even in milk. Happy hunting!

Awesome album but not the cover you'll receive
Though the image pictured is not the cd you will get. Same music but two printings or covers. If you are buying this from Amazon for this cover, you'll get the other one still. That being said, Doyle and Alex Story nail it with this album just absolutely killer! Get it in Cd so you can hear it thunder!

Pleasant surprise
I didn't really care much for Abominator, but bought the new Doyle disc to support Doyle. It was a very pleasant surprise. A lot of great songs on here and Alex's vocals are way better. Don't judge this one on the single released (Run for your Life), but take a listen to As We Die, Witchcraft, Blood on the Axe.

Love it!
I'll oved Doyle in the misfits and for years I've been trying to get hold of his stuff, I seen it on Amazon and yes I thought. The delivery was earlier than expected it plays and sounds great I'm really happy with it.

Ein sehr Gutes Album mit eigenem Stil!!
Er hat sein eigenen Stil aus Horror Punk und Metal, ist aber ein sehr Gelungenes Album. Hoffe es kommt noch mehr und vielleicht auch mit etwas weniger Quitschigen Gitarren Solos.

Good but the vocals is buried in the mix
Pro : -Good album and songs overall Con : -Production : Alex Story's vocals are buried too far in the mix. Abominator album have a much better mix. -Guests : They should keep guest musicans far away from their next album. It sound odd. I don't know, If you want a comparision, Alissa W.G. and Alex singing together is just like listening a duet of Celine Dion & GG Allin.... You don't want to hear that. Recommanded if you are fan of the Misfits (with Michale Graves) & Cancerslug.
