This book is quite a comprehensive text on demonology. While it may appear that the author has elongated each and every section, it serves the purpose of detailing. You will learn a lot on Demonology from this book, not just one perspective or culture but many cultures and many perspectives. Can't believe this was written more than a century ago and with such great detail.

Depending on where you are with Divinity and Demonology will depend on your understanding of the explanations given by the author of this book Be prepared for something you probably weren't expecting, but very true

This book was written during the reign of Queen Victoria, and therefore the convoluted and old fashioned style of writing isnt for everyone. It wasn't the style of writing that made me wish that this book would finish quickly, it was the fact that the author is long winded and tends to ramble on and on. That having been said the book is good, it is interesting and does give an insight on many different aspects of Demonology and Devil Lore (for someone who is researching Lillith it was very good), but parts are repetative and I really did get tired of reading about Dragons, Wyrms and Serpents.
