Warning removing the electronics from old fob may be extremely difficult !!!. TRY GETTING A FULL NEW FOB AND PROGRAM IT 1st LET REPLACING YOUR ELECTRONICS TO SHELL FOB BE YOUR LAST RESOURCE BEFORE HAVING TO BUY FROM DEALER!! I saw some that you could pry open so I ventured only to find that mine was a one plastic piece. The chip is overmolded and is super hard plastic it doesn't break easy at allI removed the key 1st using pliers and a flat scew driver, pry and pull with pliers, chipped broke some plastic and got it out, not the worst part yet to get the electronics out I heat up the tip of flat screw driver and carved my way aroun the chip, you need to be super carefull not to get on the chip it took hours and hours, there's a metal pc near the end where the metal pc where the key ring would be that may be just a position future or to hold chip in place, don't worry about it you need to melt and remove plastic around it and posibly remove it, not main goal but you will have some visibility afterwards, then you can try following the knit line where others snap together and simulate cutting as you were to pry it and keep going I had to, it was my only working remote and broke the cover at the beginning so there was no way to use it anymore. The soft rubber on my old fob was gone but remote still working pressing directly. I transfered the electronics and old cut key to new fob shell and it worked. Opening and replacing the electronics was easy, replacing the key took some patience, be sure to look how it was as you open de new and old so you know the pin position. I placed new cover on the table with the plastic prone facing up and inserted the spring so it would kind of self hold, then put the pin together into the key hole, it only goes right one way so just fit it in, then I use nose pliers to grab it by the pin and put it together over the spring and hold it in place, then bring the other side with the electronics and place it over, snap them together, that part was easier than I expected. Last insert metal end to hold then together. The key doesn't spring out as it used but it can get pullout easy, I don't think that's a big deal for what you pay for the shell, if you need the key to Springout as switch blade you can buy it at the dealer $$$ sorry no more pics hope it helps good luck

My old key fob's buttons broke, and this was a great replacement. Works perfectly, and was way cheaper than getting one from the dealership!

Very hard to swap out & the key wont pop out because the key part is different. Was suppose to be an exact match.

The key portion (if you are not having the blank cut) does not fit. The notches for it are in the wrong placement. It will work, but the case keeps trying to separate. If not for the cover I also purchased, this would probably make it unusable for this model. I would recommend either paying to have the blank it comes with cut or getting a different fob case.

Easily exchanged the internal board. Glad to have two, because the first one came apart when I opened it, so I was more careful to find how the flip spring went back together. Works great. Had to get the blank cut at a dealership, as the key part was slightly different so could not exchange that part.

Key fob shell for Chevrolet Sonic works fine, but needs a little alteration to make it perfect. OEM key fob is snapped and glued together. I needed to break my old fobs to get the motherboard out. OEM key with spring base did not work properly with new fob shell. I needed to pop the pin out of the OEM key, file the base of the key down a little to fit on the new shell/key base and re-insert the pin for the key. Everything worked perfectly after that.

Like som eof thenother reviewrrs has stated the spring loaded key hinge does not match up with the dye cut from the original key. The slots are not aligned with the nubs so the spring action is faulty. For using as a spare key that is not such a big deal. The chip fit fine but the key does not fold in and stay put and the button does not spring. That is not something you will know until trying it foryourself.

No funciono correctamente, es la misma medida según la descripción, pero al momento de querer instalarla la llave no quedo por dentro, se tuvo que mandar con el especialista en llaves para que se le hiciera una nueva, así que no es tal fácil como lo dice la descripción.
