Excellent choice for dance shoe soles!
Nice and thick, but still flexible. I got this to turn an ordinary pair of casual slip on sneakers into dance shoes for my 14 year old son. He has no desire to compete and have to wear tie up oxford style shoes, on top of the fact he has very wide feet. With dance shoes being so far to find in extra wide, this was a simple enough option. I traced the sole of the shoes onto the back the suede sheets, cut it out, trimmed any excess, and stuck them on the bottoms. Worked like a charm. The shoes are navy and have white soles so this beige color works perfectly. I will be back for more.

Best solution for worn out dance shoes!
This is a life-saver! I've used it on several pairs of my dance shoes, and it has extended their life so that I don't have to constantly buy new shoes that are in great condition apart from the worn out soles. And it's a much quicker, more hassle free option than taking my shoes to a cobbler to replace the soles for me. I've purchased both the gold tan and light tan colors, and each of them match my shoes very well. They aren't an exact match to the original color of the shoes' suede, but I didn't expect them to be. I use the gold tan on my dark tan satin rhythm shoes, and the light tan on my flesh satin court shoes as well as my tan leather practice shoes, and unless you're looking at them up close you can't tell that anything has been stuck onto the bottom of the shoes. The suede is easy to cut-I just traced the bottom of my shoes onto the paper on the back, and that has worked beautifully for me. Definitely take your time and apply them to the shoes as precisely as possible, just to avoid having an annoying imbalance on the bottom of your shoes, and try to stand in the shoes immediately after applying. This way you know if you need to adjust the new suede, and then putting the weight in the shoes for 5 or 10 minutes help to adhere the glue to the bottom of the shoe. The glue has held up extremely well... The original bottoms of my shoes were completely smooth from wear, and I'm sure had a ton of dust, but the glue has held the suede on flawlessly. I've had it on the bottoms of my shoes for over 4 months, and it is the same as when I first stuck it on. Now, instead of throwing out a well-loved, comfortable pair of shoes after a few months, I can restore the soles at home and extend the wear of my favorite shoes. I'll definitely be buying this again!

Did the trick for one evening of dancing
With two days to go before a 20s dance event, I remembered that the shoes I wanted to wear had very, very unslippery treads on the bottoms, which would not work with trying to do the Charleston. I had planned to try duct tape or masking tape, but I know from experience that doesn't work so well. Searching on Amazon came up with this product. My order arrived in two days. With everything thing else I had going on, I literally left it until the last 10 minutes to try the shoe suede. I quickly sprayed and wiped off the soles of the shoes (no wire brush available) with cleaner. I traced the rough size needed and cut out two ovals. I adhered them as instructed, hoping I didn't have the rare kind of sole that it doesn't stick to. I tested it a little bit, crossed my fingers and went out. I wore the shoes for over 4 hours, and danced for at least 2, and the soles stayed on the entire time without moving. They provided just the right amount of glide without being dangerously slippery. This was not on a studio-quality hardwood floor. It was a typical tile museum floor. By cutting only the oval size I needed, I should be able to use this sheet for several pair of shoes, so I hope to cost-effectively use this sheet. Two drawbacks are the moderate odor of this sheet (it is suede after all) before you put it on your shoes, and the cost. Half or 2/3 the cost of this sheet would be more acceptable for just one IMO. I don't wear these shoes for dancing very often, so I probably won't be able to comment on how long the suede stays on or lasts, but one night was what I needed. I can't say about this particular product, I see no reason right now why it wouldn't, but I don't really expect anything DIY to be able to last on the bottom of a pair of shoes - I would be very impressed if this lasted longer than a few wearings with repeated dancing. I'll update if there are any changes to my review.

I covered the soles of my keds with this and ...
I covered the soles of my keds with this and they have withstood all the dancing over several months. The instructions were simple and clear and the edges are still well stuck to the shoes. I gave four stars because it's a bit on the expensive side considering that you only get one pair of shoes out of one sheet (unless you wear size 5).

Good for short term
With a sad dearth of full leather sole shoes out there (the vast majority of men's shoes have a rubber heel, at best), dancing becomes rather hard on the knees. These sheets allow a quick, easy, and relatively inexpensive way to convert any pair of shoes to a leather(suede) sole. I would have rated this higher, but as I feared, the self-adhesive simply does not stand up to sustained use. You can then re-glue, since the suede itself is still fine, but it does present a problem that evening. I lindy hop/swing a couple nights a week for up to 3 hours each night, practice times beyond that vary. Within a couple weeks, I was losing one sole, and now a couple months in, the other has started to go. Superglue repairs seem to work great.

It works!!
After my cobbler said it would cost $75 to put suede on the bottoms of my size 8.5 sneakers, so I could use them for salsa & bachata, I decided to try this product and do it myself. The suede is very thick and of great quality. The adhesive is super sticky so take your time when you apply. It wasn’t difficult to do. My measurement was a little off on the side so I used an exacto knife to trim the excess. They look great! **NOTE: I traced the soles of my shoes and cut the suede with a sturdy scissor. I had considered using an exacto knife from the start but decided against it and am very glad I used a scissor. The glue is VERY sticky. While the knife worked great to trim up a small area, it was difficult to pull it thru the adhesive.

I used this for a pair of platform sneakers for social dancing. It works when I tested it for spins. Will see how well it holds up.

A bit expensive but less expensive than buying dancing shoes. Application was easy, on cleaned sole (sanded, wiped down with isopropyl rubbing alcohol). The key is a clean sole. I applied to running shoes I had used once in dance class so the shoes were not brand new when I applied the suede. Second picture is the suede after one dance class and brushed clean with a brass wire brush. There was no movement of the suede nor any lifting on the edges. The glue seems to have done its job well. I cut and trimmed a pattern and used the same pattern, flipped over, for both sides of the shoe. I can do 2 pairs of shoes (men's 7-1/2) from one sheet. On other people's comments. the product looks like and feels like suede. It has no odor at all, neither leather nor synthetic. There were no instructions in the package so look at the manufacturer's website for detailed instructions on how to apply. As with any adhesive, a clean surface is key. If there is product failure, it will be from uncleaned soles or material to which the glue won't bond. [update] Picture with the brass wire brush shows the suede after 3-1/2 to 4 hours of salsa practice, the unbrushed side shows the debris picked up from the dance floor. After brushing, sued looks like when new. No signs of wear yet. No sign of suede separating from shoe. Product works well.

I used this product for my dancing shoes. The product was easy to use after googling how to add suede soles DIY on YouTube.

Every claim about the product that the seller makes is false. This is NOT suede leather as claimed, very clearly synthetic, complete with chemical smell. No "leather" smell at all. Also the claimed thickness of the product is way off. It's so thin, probably not even a quarter of a millimeter. I'm a professional dancer and own at least 12 pairs of dance shoes, all with suede leather soles so I know what I'm talking about, don't waste your time with this. Returning it immediately.
