These were awesome for a last minute find for jail cell keys for an opera performance of fledermaus. I needed a large keyring, this was 4"....perfect. amount of keys and size, perfect, made of metal and made loud metal key sounds, perfect.If i were to make a negitive comment about the keys, it would only be that the 4" ring can not be opened to add more. But i am a props master, i can figure out a million dollar look on a one dollar budget. Yes, i am that good. Heh.Thanks for making them available and relatively low cost.

Fantastic. This set is great. I do a lot of 17th and 18th century photography and events and this set is perfect. If it's not cast iron, then it's as close as you are going to get. These are heavy, not hollow metal or plastic. If you do not look real close, they sure look real. If you know anything about 17th and 18th century locks, then you can see they would not work on anything. But it's not about functionality. It's about appearances. And these create the right appearance. I am very happy with this set.

Honestly these are way nicer than I was anticipating. Really heavy and sturdy design. They sound high quality when they rattle together which helps with my costume. I’m thrilled with these!

Let me start this off by saying, I don’t think the use I bought them for is going to be a common use. I’m a haunted house actor, and I bought these keys because my character is a jail warden and I needed a STURDY set of keys to jingle around in my hand, and use to make general noise. That being said, they’ve held up better than the last decorative pair I tried this with. HOWEVER, towards the end of the first night I slammed them down on a barrel one too many times and it finally caused one of the keys to break. The weld quality on these is not the best. The break happened at an obvious point where two pieces had been attached together... from my tiny bit of knowledge in welding this means it wasn’t made properly. You don’t really expect cast iron to break without EXCESSIVE force.Aside from the break that happened, I think they’re plenty sturdy enough if you just want them for decorative purposes or a costume accessory. They are not terribly detailed, and compared to some other skeleton key sets they don’t look very realistic unless you only see them from afar they’re way too thick to have been used in any locking mechanism. Durability or “sturdiness” wasn’t up to par for me, but I do understand my circumstances are different from most, since the average person probably wouldn’t be flinging them around for 6 hours straight.For the price, I’d honestly buy them again once the other two keys break. It’ll work well enough for me as a cheap disposable prop that’s going to get beat to death anyway.The break and all of the damage shown in the photos is what they now look like after 6 continuous hours of spinning them around, shaking them in my hands, and beating them on the side of a wooden barrel.

Surprisingly, these are pretty awesome. They are real, metal keys. Heavy! Really cool and son loves them!

Love the key ring, but it arrived in an envelope with fabric personal items. The heavy weight of the key ring tore through the paper envelope and were protruding from it when it arrived. Fortunately the other items were not damaged, but better packaging would have been helpful...maybe a box??

This arrived within 4 days and was as described. I wrote an earlier review but didn't include a picture. It looked and felt realistic. Painted black and weighing around 2 pounds (?). I noticed that magnets stuck to it, so perhaps it's really made of iron...
