I picked this book because of its title "Finding Me". But after finishing this book it seems as if I have found myself. Viola Davis is remarkably pure in describing her life as a working actress. She is brutally honest about her emotional and sexual traumas. this book is a narrative flow. I am not a film geek but I love watching good cinema. Her renditions of her Art made me fall in love with the process of character portrayal. It's a huge platform to "vomit" your unprocessed emotions. I salute her courageous spirit and send her loads of love. Every woman in this world must read this book♥️

You realise while reading this book, rather I should say narrative that it takes immense strength to bare your soul to readers. You wouldn't believe that one of your favourite actor has been through so much and you start connecting to her right from the first page. I have to applaud for this courage to take us through her journey and to give us hope and strength to believe that we all are in same boat as human beings and that we can survive. And survive with pride! Thank you Viola Davis, it was an honour reading this one.

"Finding Me" will make you find courage, hope, the willingness to fight despair, but most importantly, will make you find yourself. Within each paragraph, within each chapter, you will find a bit of yourself in the various phases of Viola and her journey.A brilliant read. Thank you for sharing this with the world, Viola. I always loved Viola and this book just opened my heart to her even more. What a journey of unimaginable suffering and yet so heart warming in all the simple moments of unbridled joy and coming to terms with her real self with all her imperfections and positives. She is truly a great artist and an amazing woman. More power to her
