eerie but happy ending
great for young readers—vibrant colors and not too much text. artwork is interesting and beautiful. this would make a good gift but the ending was a funny surprise.

Good for transportation themes
I like all Byron Barton books for their simple, but relatable pictures and text. I had this one out in our toddler library at school during our transportation theme, and my kids loved it. They liked how parts of the bike were labeled and it brought about conversation about their own bikes and being safe with helmets!

Don't love it, but can't complain
This book was an attempt to engrain into my child's head that to ride a bicycle, we wear a helmet. The book is very brightly colored. The text and story are simple. I don't personally love the illustrations, though it would be unfair to say they're bad or talentless. It's certainly no Caldecott book. But my child likes it. It's simplicity is appealing to a 2yo.

This book is super cute, colorful nice illustrations and great for beginning readers! It shows basic bicycle parts and how the circus performer uses it to ride to work. Definitely recommend Byron Barton books!

Fun little story
Fun book. We read it all the time. Some of the animals look a little odd to be but the target audience doesn’t seem to mind.

Bright and colourful
Our grandson is bike mad at the moment. Be aware that this is very States oriented vocabulary-wise, but for a toddler who simply uses the pictures it’s fine.

Inappropriate images of circus animals
This book contains upsetting images of wild animals in a circus environment - monkeys dressed in human clothes, lions and tigers in small cages, scary looking ring master with a whip, and elephants being used in a circus performance. This is not only unethical but use of wild animals in a circus setting is illegal in the UK. I feel this imagery, particularly as the story is depicted as being in the current day not in the past, is totally inappropriate for a children's book and as such I have returned it and fed back to the seller.
