May well be a translation issue
I like the construction, but the description did not make sense. The 15CM is actually the width in MM. The only English printing on the package is the 15 CM, the rest in Korean? So it may well be a translation issue in which CM is thought to represent MM. Thus, according to the packaging, the manufacturer makes widths in excess of 1 Meter - LOL.Now I have to find a metal rule 15mm wide without cork backing. I notice that most of the metal rulers on Amazon do NOT state the width. This is how simple things become complicated. Again, LOL.

Must-have accessory for excellent Shinwa 150mm rules
This simple accessory adds a lot of capability to the really excellent Shinwa 15cm rules. Btw, if you're getting one of those I highly recommend the 13131 "Pick-up" style because it has full millimeter scales on both edges rather than 0.5 mm on one edge. The 0.5 mm scale is too hard to read without magnification and having the 1mm scale on both edges makes them both usable. This stop allows you to make very repeatable depth and length measurements and is very easy to set. I just leave mine on the rule at all times. It's easy to slide it to the end when you're not using it or slip it off entirely, but mostly I use it so I can set the measurement carefully, using a magnifier if it's handy, then use the measurement without having to fuss reading the scale. Absolutely must–have, I have one for all my Shinwa rules, of which I now have half-a-dozen :)Note these do not work on the Japanese carpenter's squares (sashigane) even though those are also 15mm wide. The slot is just the right size for the rule, but too small for the thicker sashigane. Shinwa makes other accessories for this job on the sashigane that are also excellent.
