This box is perfect for my boat. It is well made with plenty of room.

Lots of room. Using it for cigars. I would say not quite Pelican quality. But they don’t make a clear container this size. Fair price I think. Glad I ordered it.

Used as a child’s coin collection box. At least nothing gets lost falling out of this! A little hard to open but only because of tight seal. Great handle on it which is a must. Nice it’s clear. A lot of integrity here!

I love this particular model of watertight case. The clear plastic is easy to see through, the triple side latches and watertight seal keep 100% of any water or moisture out, the plastic handle makes it easy to carry, but also folds flat, making storage easy. I use it to store my boat registration, fishing licenses, cell phone while in the boat, pc tablet, and many other items I want to keep safe. This is just one example of the many ways it can be used. The only negative I have encountered is that it really gets hot if you leave it in direct sunlight, not a good thing for cell phones & electronics. The easy solution is to store it in a spot out of the sun.

I take my pelican case in my boat to store my wallet, cell phone, GPS, batteries, small flashlight. The Plano guide series I bought has some advantages. The Plano case is larger, transparent and it will hold items that I need to consolidate. The Plano case is good for storing flares, sound making device, a larger flash light, cell phone amplifier and small first aid kit. However, if you plan to be in a really rough terrain, direct rain, salt water or need a case that will not break (even if dropped 40 feet) then buy a Pelican case. Both the Plano and Pelican have a place for any outdoor activity or emergency. The smaller Plano cases make an excellent limited tackle box. Plano has came a long way from their past and some current tackle boxes. After all if your tackle box is box saltwater proof then contents will rust and get wet in the rain. After more than 6 years of use the Pelican case only has a few scratches but locks securely every time. It has been opened and closed at least 800 times. We will see how this larger Plano case holds up.UPDATE: May 2019: After four years this Plano field box still keeping things dry. It is always in a saltwater environment. The metal pins holding the latches has rusted a little but operational. I use it in two different boats. No problem with the seal liner. Being see-thru is a plus.

Thrilled to get this size for half price, as I already had a smaller one I knew worked great for storing moisture sensitive expensive makeup palettes when they must live in the bathroom. Triple closure may seem slow and unwieldy at first but will be very quickly accomplished after using a few times. Although very tight (they have to be), clasps are still easy to manipulate for someone like me recovering from an injury or someone with long nails w/o damaging them. This item appears very durable, but has not been put to the test by a toddler or older child with a sledgehammer…😂I cannot speak to the floating capability of this item, as I have no need/reason to care about that given it’s current use.Bottom line, functions exactly the way it’s supposed to. Urban Decay Naked eye shadow pallet that appeared to begin being damaged while stored in a bathroom (even with consistent fan use) returned to normal on it’s own with use of this container. Now ALL of my high-end shadows live in one!

I like it. All of my daily medical needs fit securely. Great for traveling

Keep your valuables safe when hiking or camping. We use ours when kayaking primarily to keep our keys/wallet/phone/other dry items safe when on the water. We have a smaller one we use for hiking.

It's well made, what more can I say. At 73 I have been buying Plano cases for carpentry, photography, storage, airguns and a whole bunch more stuff for years. Always great quality.
