Great tool for the money
I bought this press to perform bulk decapping, lubricating, etc. It is a perfect supplemental press that saves me time. I cleaned and lubricated the tool before it's first use. I then decapped 1000+ pistol cases without issue. Are the tolerances precise? Not really, it's under $40. Does the paint flake off around the ram? Yes, it's under $40. Is it robust enough to hold up to jobs such as resizing? No, it's under $40. Is the handle knob genuine hardwood? Yes, and it's even under $40! Remember that most, if not all, Lee products carry a 2 year replacement warranty. Also, Lee will repair/replace an item, for life, for 1/2 the current cost of the item. You also get a new warranty. For those complaints about quality, look at what else is available for presses. Then pry your rusty wallet open and shell out the extra clams for a better press. It's under $40. While not perfect, I feel it is a functional tool and a good price. You get what you pay for.

A good secondary press...
I use this as a secondary press for depriming fired cases with a Lee universal decapping die. It really helps to keep most of the grit and soot off of my main press. I also use this press with an RCBS collet bullet pulling die. It works pretty well performing both of these tasks. Like another reviewer, I have mounted the press so that it can be relocated easily. I mounted it to the end of a small section of a 2x6 using wingnuts. Then, I am able to use c-clamps on the board to attach it to various tables and benches. The wingnuts allow an easy way to unmount the press for emptying the primer catch area. I am more than happy with the performance of this press, for my needs, at this price. I would recommend against using this as your primary press, as it does have some shortcomings. The ram linkage is very basic and came with a lot of play. You can adjust this on your own, but it is far from being as stout as even the challenger press linkage. The ram is reasonably lined up, but again, there is some play. If your linkage is loose, you can press at certain angles that cause the ram to get a little off track. Being a c-press, and not an o-press, I would be reluctant to use this for sizing many rifle cases, or swaging primer pockets. Those tasks are more suited to a heavier duty press. And lastly, punched primers often fail to make the jump from the ram to the reservoir inside the press body. Instead, they like to get wedged between the ram and press body, locking up your press until you poke it out with a stick. I really feel like the hollow ram and rubber tubing, found on other Lee presses, would have been much better. Lastly, the wooden handle on my press comes off. It appears to have been a friction fit, simply wedged on the lever arm. No problem, just push it back on. Glue it if you get tired of it popping off. Despite the shortcomings, it's still a lot of press for the price. It's amazing the amount of soot produced from decapping. I'd highly recommend this cheap little press simply for the ability to move that operation to a patio or garage, where you won't be breathing it all in, keeping the rest of your expensive equipment clean.

dedicated de-priming station
I picked up this single stage press to use as a de-priming station. I have been shooting SingleStack using one of my .45s and have been getting too many small pistol primer brass caught in my progressive press. It really slows down production. I guess my sorting ability is not as good as it should be. Since the brass is easier to sort for primer size after it has been de-primed, this press really makes things easier for me. All I needed additionally was a shell plate holder and a decapping die. Plus some wood, a piece of plywood as a base and then two 1x2 strips to mount the press onto. The 1x2 strips leave the base of the press raised so the used primers fall out nicely. The plywood base is just big enough so I can get two hand clamps on it and then I can clamp the base down to my reloading table. I will also pick up a #10 shell plate holder so I can use this press to de-prime 223/556 brass before tumbling. This is a nice single stage press that works well and was quite inexpensive. I am sure it would work well as a full reloading press, but after using a progressive turret press for a few years I do not think I will ever test this out to make ammo. But for de-priming, it works great.

Must have
I use this little press strictly for decapping dirty cases before cleaning them. Leaving my primary press clean and focusing on precise operations. Wouldn’t recommend this as a primary reloading press.
